I forgot to mention this in the mass PM, but it seems to run smoothly whenever I've seen it before, and I think we should at least be able to try it out. :3
So, as of now, you may have StarClanners/Dark Foresters talk to living cats. Living cats cannot become mates and/or have kits with non-living cats, but, of course, they're free to talk to their dead mate.
This may only happen in dreams (unless in dire situations such as death, birth, etc., or even mentioning the "feeling of their presence" is fine), you do not have to pay Leaves for it, and the cats who speak to the dead can be of any rank.
However, the spirits may not give hugely important plot-related hints or prophecies; those you have to pay for in the Store.
