To put my mind at rest for the time being:
If you feel like checking out any of the plugins I'm suggesting...
Back to the Top Plugin: *click*
Thread Descriptions: *click*
Posting Activity: *click*
Styled Member Names: *click*
Highlightable Code: *click*
Highlight Search Terms: *click*
- I think that a Back to the Top button and Back to the Bottom button would be wonderful. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm a very, very lazy person, and having to scroll to the top of the page to go back to the homepage every time I click on an updated thread gets tiring after a month or so. x'D
- Thread Descriptions would be a big help in determining what a thread is actually about without having to click on it and for those of us who have computers that are dinosaurs, wait forever for it to load and then finding out that we don't want to post in that thread, anyway. x-x
- Getting the Posting Activity plugin would really help when you're trying to determine whether a member is still active or not without having to count the weeks since they've last been online. It would also be helpful when you're trying to figure out whether a plot, mate arrangement, or collaboration with them is still going strong, or if they're much less active and... yeah. ==
- The Styled Member Names are just a little side thing that I think would spice things up a little bit as far as the forum stat area at the bottom of the homepage goes. Just an idea. C=
- Highligtable Code is something that would make using code so much faster and easier. And you don't have to do much to set it up; simple as that. C=
- The Highlight Search Terms plugin is something that I think the search area really needs. It lets you find your search terms in posts and threads immediately. For instance, if you're looking for your character's name and search, for example, "Amberflower", you would type that in and hit "search", but instead of having to leaf through every thread or spend half an hour scanning the lines of fifty different posts to find your search term, it'll be highlighted for you in a bright color so that you can find it painlessly without searching for it for forever. This is my main suggestion here, the plugin that I think would benefit forum members the most.
