Magpie walked through the forest, still lost on her thoughts. That first meeting had been...weird. At least, when she tried to investigate the places Daisypaw had talked her about, she had been chased off. That kind of reaction was cruel, but it wasn't the first time Magpie had been treated like that. It was normal for her, she didn't expected less.
but...these cats. Daisypaw and this other she-cat...They had been almost kind.
Magpie hadn't been treated with kindness by any other cat but her brothers, and that had been a long time ago. Since then, kindness annoyed her, because it was always a sign of pity. And she didn't needed any cat's pity.
The young she-cat hissed, the black and white pelt rising. Pity...There was no other explanation for that she-cat acting on the way she did. And Daisypaw...What an annoying, mousebrained she-cat! Falling for her lies so easily, all because she wanted some cat of her age to whine about having to share her mentor with other cat. Or something like that, Magpie couldn't have cared less.
...It had been almost like talking to a female version of her useless brother.
but what really angered Magpie was that, behind the "naive, lost kit" faked attitude she had pulled out through out the conversation, for a very, very small moment...She had actually felt good talking to them. If she had been on another mood, she would have fallen on their trap and said that she wanted to join them.
Luckily, the black and white she-cat was smarter than that. but the fact that the thought had crossed her mind was something that infuriated her. She wasn't a kit nor a kittypet, she didn't needed anyone to survive.
"For all I care, all those stupid clans can dissapear..."- She murmured to herself.
Magpie sniffed her surroundings, maybe some fresh prey would made her feel better. It was there that she noticed that there was the scent of another cat on the air. She hissed. Not this again...
