Honeyrain crouched in a small bush - a bird having landed just a fox tail length away. In leafbare every prey counted. Every kill and every mouth fed. Ears pricked forward, eyes wide, the golden/red feline lifted one paw off the ground and paused. The bird had flitted to the left and paused its scrounging for bugs. Holding her breath the TalonClan warrior held very still until the creature felt safe enough to resume its business. Now was her time. Bunching her body against her hind legs Honeyrain's muscles coiled together then sprang loose as she launched forward. Claws out and paws stretched wide the bird flew right through her grasp and to the sky. A look of sheer determination struck her features and she quickly hit the ground only to spring upward and sink her claws in to a tree. In a heartbeat of a moment the pretty tabby she-cat shoved from the tree and collided with the bird before it got away. 

Prey in her jaws she rolled on the ground once she hit and came up with the bird under her forepaw and jaws around it's neck. Laying there until the animal stopped moving Honeyrain sent up a silent thanks to StarClan and let out a triumphant, "Ha!" Pleased with herself she picked the bird up and started to make her way to bury it for collection later. Then, something felt off. There were other cats nearby and she wasn't sure who it might be. She knew a Hunting Patrol had made it's way out but she had gone the opposite direction of them. Face falling behind her dead bird, the warrior took to the trees again, settling on a low hanging branch. Tail twitching to waited to see who was walking in her direction.

Deadfoot had been wandering through the territory in Talonclan, exploring the new lands. Well, they were new to him so he might as well wander around and get used to everything to avoid mistake later. Ears perked he glanced about then hesitated, he had managed to just see another cat catch a bird. A slight smile flicked across his jaws and he headed in their direction. Slinking over in silence Deadfoot came to a stop near the female. His hobbled walk wasn't too loud so he managed to get there quiet. "Nice catch." He spoke up behind her, tail flicking behind him quietly. He hoped to not surprise his clanmate but he's only see when she reacted or replied to him.

Gold eyes watched from afar, his grey and black pelt blended expertly. Even if he'd sneezed no one would have seen him. He'd been there long enough to see the she cat arrive and he was impressed by her expertise at hunting. Stalking and stealth came naturally due to long years of training and now it was as easy as breathing. Seeing Deadfoot arrive, the silent tom changed path and veered towards them, sticking to the shadows. He came from behind the both of them, not making a sound. When he reached them he swished his tail gently to announce his presence and showed his approval to her catch with a smooth nod.

Ivyheart had a new type of bounce to her step, the snow crunched under her paws. She had already had caught a bird earlier this morning. She was just out to find a place to take a nap, considering she had done a lot already today. She was on the dawn patrol earlier that day, and now after catching that bird she was totally done for the day. She came up the hill and saw Honeyrain with a catch and Deadfoot. She stopped waiting to see what would happen. Not Deadfoot again. She just shrugged and was about to move forward when she saw someone appear out of the shadows no less, the gray tom caught her eye and then she padded on forward, with a smile she looked at the three cats. She nodded to all three cats and then she smiled, saying "Nice catch Honeyrain, then she yawned, her teeth glistened in the sunlight then she said sleepily "I think its time for a nap.

Just as Deadfoot appeared, Honeyrain had sneezed. Rolling her eyes inwardly she realized how stupid it was if she was trying to be unnoticed. Then, right as she opened her eyes Deadfoot was there and she nearly fell off her branch. Dropping her bird and digging her claws into the branch, Honeyrain's hind legs dangled from the tree for a few moments before she let herself drop to the ground. Shaking her pelt out, the she-cat chuckled nervously. "You startled me! Oh, and thank you. Couldn't let him get away!" Before she could ask how her clan-mate was another feline joined them. 

"Hello, Ashnight." Dipping her head in greeting she sat, curling her tail around her paws. "Well, what brings the two of you out here?" Running a quick swipe of her tongue over her shoulder to smooth her fur down, the she-cat smelled another. "Ivyheart." Smiling at the other she-warrior Honeyrain was glad to see her. While she joined TalonClan as an apprentice she still didn't have many strong relationships and Ivyheart was her kind of cat. "A nap! The day is still young." A smile hit her gold eyes as she poked some fun toward Ivyheart. The crisp weather put a new energy in Honeyrain's bones - sleep didn't come easy.

Seeing Honeyrain nearly fall from the branch had his eyes wide with worry. "Terribly sorry, are you alright?" Glancing at the female he didn't see anything wrong visibly so thus assumed she would be fine. New scents filled his jaws and he turned to nod at Ashnight respectfully. The tom was one of the cats he knew and got along with so he never did mind his company. The next scent that hit Deadfoot nearly made him grimace but instead he released a light sigh. "Ivyheart." he mumbled, less than enthusiastic about it. Perking his ears he reclined back onto his haunches and began to groom his ebony pelt contently.

Ashnight tried to cover a laugh at Deadfoot's reaction to Ivyheart with a very unconvincing cough. The agile grey tom moved to the periphery of the gathering cats, dipping his head respectfully at Honeyrain. He had time for the she cat, they had always gotten along and she had an air around her that calmed him. Settling in a position that he could keep them all in sight of his golden eyes, he flicked his ears in reply to Honeyrain's question to say he was doing what he always did, hunting and patrolling silently. He didn't talk, unless the situation was truly dire, he may as well have had no tongue. Some found it annoying, he found it necessary. He was stealth through and through and that type of training required that type of commitment. He didn't expect others to take it up but he liked the silence, it calmed his mind. He offered a friendly look at Honeyrain with his bright eyes.

Ivyheart just smiled at Deadfoot's reaction to her. She personally did not like the cat, but she could still mess with him. That was fun, she almost did an evil laugh on the inside. She padded up closer to the three, and just past them there was a perfect patch of sunlight. Nap Time she thought quickly. While heading through the three cats she flicked Deadfoot with her tail and said "I'm glad your happy to see me Deadfoot, you company is always a pleasure. there was a tone of sarcasm in her voice. Then she got to her sunlight spot and she sat down, Ivyheart looked back as Honeyrain talked to her. She could see the teasing in the younger warriors eyes, I like her. Ivyheart thought quickly. She turned and looked at Honeyrain and said with a smile, "Maybe for you young one, but I was on the dawn patrol and I caught a bird this morning." Ivyheart laid down in the sunlight on her side, a purr rumbled from her throat and she continued "For doing that much work today I think I get the rest of the day off." Then Ivyheart laid her head on the ground and started to close her green eyes. I'm sure I'm going to get crap from Deadfoot or Ashnight for being lazy... oh well. Then the warrior yawned again. If my sisters were here I would defiantly be getting my ears clawed off for being lazy

"I'm really fine, it happens." The she-cat laughed to show she was fine with the startle. "I need to be prepared for anything, right?" Winking at Deadfoot, Honeyrain then turned her attention to Ashnight. He was quite the silent type. Making eye contact she flicked her ears in understanding. "Just taking the day to observe?" At Ivyheart's response to Deadfoot's company the warrior rolled her eyes outwardly with a smile on her face. Seriously, the two were bad at hiding their discomfort with each other. 


"Well, judging by Ivyheart's reasoning I believe we all deserve naps then!" Standing she kneaded the ground itching to do something. There was no way in StarClan she could lay down for a nap. The air was too crisp, skies clear and was in good company. "Or, we could all venture out and do something worthwhile - not that napping isn't worth something." Her laugh was light and hit the end of her words. If you could see it you'd be sure to see some sort of sparkle. Taking to her bird she buried it quickly, to recollect later, and looked at the other three expectantly. "Maybe we can find something of enough importance to make Ashnight talk." Honeyrain's tail twitched to touch the other cat's back to show she was teasing.

The silent grey warrior watched Honeyrain intently, his tail brushing the ground absent mindedly, and couldn't hide the smirk at her playful banter. He liked Honeyrain, she took him at face value and didn't try to change anyone, that was admirable. Ashnight knew he didn't want to nap either, then again he hardly slept instead spending nights in a doze or alert around the camp. Not many cats knew that, but then again they had to see him to know what he was doing, didn't they? Giving the she cat a dry look in response to her last comment, the leithe tom rose to his feet not making a sound, flicking his head indicating that he wanted to get out and do something. As stoic as he was he was rather playful when riled.

Ivyheart started falling asleep and Honeyrain's word started to go fuzzy as she slow drifted off into slumber. Ivyheart body was cold but yet warm, she loved naps in leaf bare for this reason. She never got too hot where she would actually have to get up and move to a shady spot to finish her name. In leaf bare all she had to do was find a nice dry and sunny spot and the lazy warrior was good to go. Ivyheart just slept, her pelt fell up and down she was enjoying the perfect day. but she was extremely tired, with the confrontation with Wolfpelt, and then getting an apprentice on top of that she was just happy to be lazy for the day. Then next thing you know the warrior started snoring lightly.

Releasing a soft snort at Ivyheart's words he rolled his eyes. "Yes I imagine I just make your day, don't I?" The slightly mocking tone put an edge to his voice but he let it drop. Turning back to Honeyrain he offered a kind smile and nodded to her. "I am glad you are unharmed, I'd of been fetching you prey for moons had you gotten hurt on my account." Honesty made his tone soft, he wouldn't want to cause harm to a clanmate intentional or otherwise.

The slender feline laughed, yet again, this time at Ashnight's face. Choosing to ignore Deadfoot's edged voice toward Ivyheart (their dispute wasn't her concern...yet.) she gave him a mischievous look. "Careful, Deadfoot! I just might take you up on hunting for me." Still grinning the sounds of Ivyheart snoring made Honeyrain turn and face her. Well then! The kittish heart of hers swelled at the opportunity to raise some hell and have a mock battle. Crouching low, the red and gold cat shook her hind end in an exaggerated form and pushed off the ground aiming for Ivyheart's back. Bracing herself for impact she knew this probably wouldn't go so well.

Ivyheart slept for a while and then BAM! She feels a cat land on her back. Ivyheart eyes snap open and yowls in surprise. Shoving Honeyrain easily off of her she is on her paws in an instant, her tabby pelt fluffed out. Her eyes were wide with surprise, she arched her back and hissed sleepily at Honeyrain. Then she looked around her eyes blinking looking at the situation. She saw Honeyrain's sparkling eyes, then she looked at Ashnight, and then finally Deadfoot. Mousebrained she thought to herself then she looked back at Honeyrain and Ashnight totally ignoring Deadfoot's presence and said "Now who's idea was it to go and wake me up." her fur was finally starting to flatten out but her tail was still fluffed out. "Its... not nice... you know... to wa-" Her voice was thick with sleep and she starting saying the last one part slower as her eyes started close once more.

"Oh? Well I can't say I'd mind if you did." Grinning towards Honeyrain he gave his ears a friendly twitch. Deadfoot then ignored the look Ivyheart gave him, he decidedly stared off. Finding something random in the other direction to be interesting. Moving from his spot the tom went over to a rock and batted at it with his paws quietly. His claws scraping across it gently as it rolled it over and over again through the leafy grass. A slight smile had began to cover his jaws in amusement at the fact he was playing with a rock.
