So, I'm in the midst of getting a non-clan cat accepted so I was looking around the boards for outside of the clans, and am a little surprised to see . . . . well, nothing really. There are merely boards with the names of those selected 'groups' with not real descriptors, and it made me realize that the way the site is set up now, the only place to really role play with any sort of guideline to layout of the land is inside the clans. I think it'd be awesome if some boards could be added that could be outside of the clan lands just to allow a bit more variety in locations, that way it's not just a 'free for all' board with who knows what kind of locations used for those threads. It'll also help to give a better sense of layout for the land in general to have more descriptive locations for loners, rogues, and kitty-pets to go. Things like a horse barn, or city parks in the city. Or random lands created where no clan rules over it for loners and rogues to mingle.
My rp style relies heavily on descriptors for the land that I'm rping in, and it's hard to figure out exactly how I'm suppose to play a non-clan cat in general when there seems to be very few places for such a cat to be played out, anyways - not with out said cat possibly being attacked as an intruder if I were to post anywhere outside of the boards that merely say 'Kitty-Pets', 'Rogues', and 'Loners'. In a sense, naming those boards that way also might make it to show to newbies that that is the only place to rp those characters at (my first original reaction when I joined was this, until I looked inside the boards and realized there weren't any actual land boards in their in which I felt even more confused as to what to do if I were to make a non-clan cat.
I just think that it could make rping outside of the clans more intersting if there were a bit more places to rp that weren't for clan cats. Just my own thoughts in general.
