Twineheart Here is the thread between Snow and Tansy

Snowpaw padded into camp trying to hold a rabbit above the ground. The small apprentice's neck hurt from carrying the large rabbit that she caught. It this rabbit was about as big as the apprentice was herself. When she finally got to the freshkill pile she dropped the rabbit and it landed on the ground with a thump. "Thank Starclan thats over." She grumbled to herself. She looked at the freshkill pile her mouth started watering and her stomach growled with hunger but she didn't take anything because her mentor Dawnshine didn't say she could have anything from the freshkill pile. That was the other thing, where was Snowpaw's mentor. She had last seen the warrior early that morning. Snowpaw growled slightly she didn't want to wait all day but she wasn't going to break the rules either so she stalked over to the apprentice den entrance and sat down grumbling the whole time.

It was late morning when Tansypaw started to stir in her nest. Her mentor Icepelt had given her the morning to sleep in, since she had been exhausted from their training of the night before. Now as she slowly awoken, she feels well rested and content. Her sky blue gaze flutters open, and she slowly slips her forepaws out from beneath herself to stretch gracefully. Her back arching high in the air, as she wriggles all her toes. Yawning softly, she slowly sits down and begins her careful grooming process. She had a thing about her pelt needing to be completely flawless at all times, when possible. Licking her white chest with strong laps of her little pink tongue the delicate she-cat wonders what her mentor might have in store for her. Whatever it might be she hoped it didn't involve being anywhere near the hawk perch. Just the idea of that place gave the young cat shivers.

After several minutes of grooming, Tansypaw finally finishes. Her medium length calico fur gleaming perfectly she exits the apprentice's den, only to run head on into another cat. " Oof!" She exclaims falling back and rubbing her nose with a paw. " S-sorry!" She exclaims staring up at the form of Snowpaw a fellow apprentice. Her black tipped ears flick back nervously wondering how mad she would be.

Snowpaw felt someone run into her and she snapped, "Open your eyes! And watch where your going mouse-brained." Snowpaw looked and saw Tansypaw on the ground. Snowpaw looked down at her and snorted. This is what apprentices looked like, clumsy and blind. Snowpaw prayed to Starclan what wasn't the case for every apprentice in Whisperclan. She listened as Tansypaw apologized and it was a stuttered it. Snowpaw just narrowed her clear green eyes and said, "Why are you stuttering Tansypaw its not like I'm a new face." Then she continued before sitting down and she looked back at the camp entrance waiting for her mentor.

Tansypaw winces at the harsh words from Snowpaw her eyes round with dismay. She slowly picks herself up off the ground, shaking some dirt from her well manicured fur. She gives Snowplow an apologetic look, " Sorry Snowpaw." She repeats glancing at her petite paws shyly. Her head snapping back up at Snowpaw's last rather cruel comment. She blinks her sky blue eyes in shock, unsure what to do or say. Her feathery tail wrapping around her body tightly, as if to protect her. " I-I..." She says Snowpaw's comment only making her stutter worse. " You just s-surprised me that's all." She says her voice very quiet.

Snowpaw just looked back as Tansypaw picked herself off the ground. Snowpaw watched as she shook the dirt off of her calico pelt. Snowpaw couldn't help but notice how nice this cat's pelt was. Snowpaw just listened as Tansypaw just apoligzed once again and Snowpaw just snorted and stated, "I heard you the first time Tansypaw, I get it your sorry lets move on." The brown and white apprentice was surprised that Tansypaw didn't knock her to the ground, Snowpaw and Tansypaw were both the same age, but Snowpaw was slightly not by much but was smaller than Tansypaw. but that could have been all the fur that the other apprentice had as well. She just listened as Tansypaw stuttered even worse. Snowpaw could bearly hear what Tansypaw was saying and she hated when other talked quietly to her. Snowpaw just growled, "Speak up, I can't hear a single word thats coming out of that mouth of your." Even though the brown and white apprentice had heard every single word the other apprentice said.

Tansypaw seems to be frozen in place unable to move. Her sky blue eyes round and nervous as she gawks up at Snowpaw. Why was this she-cat being so snappy? She wondered Maybe she just woke up on the wrong side of her nest? Tansypaw thought. Since the cat didn't even seem to care that she had run into her anymore. Hesitating after Snowpaw's growled words, Tanspaw attempts to figure out what to say. " I -I said.... you just s-surprised me that's all." She repeats doing her best to raise her voice, which squeaked a bit as she did so. Her black tipped ears now flat on her skull, oh how she hated conflict. Looking around she wonders if there is anyway to escape without seeming rude.

Snowpaw just looked into Tansypaw seemed to be frozen in place. The apprentice's tail curled up and down hitting the ground next to her. Her green eyes were looking right into Tansypaw's wide sky blue ones. She just kept the glare up she was easily able to read what this cat was thinking. It was clear that she was afraid of Snowpaw or maybe her mouth, and the she-cat just smirked at the other apprentice. She was enjoying making Tansypaw uncomfortable, because she was so easily vulnerable. Thats when she repeated her words again in a louder voice this time and Snowpaw just smirked even more. She heard the squeak and just started laughing. She couldn't help it but the she-cat just laughed. Finally after she was done laughing she managed to say, "If you keep squeaking like that I'm going to have to claw my ears off then I'll claw your tongue out of your mouth."

Tansypaw's ears flicker when suddenly Snowpaw starts laughing. It wasn't the sort of laugh a cat could join in on, no it was full of malice. Tansypaw stares in shock eye wide, then blinking rapidly looks down at her paws. Unable to understand why this she-cat was being so mean to her. Her last words float to Tansypaw's ears and she rises to her paws, tail still hugging her body. " W-well I'm sorry you feel that way." She says trying to hide the hurt in her eyes. " I guess I'll just leave." She adds wishing to get as far away from Snowpaw as possible. How could any cat be so cold? She wondered as she started to skirt around the angry apprentice. Her eyes downcast as she went, her tail with hugged her body would of been drooping if not still wrapped so close around her.

The brown and white apprentice watched as Tansypaw seemed to close in. Snowpaw just rolled her eye, cats needed to be tough to be warriors and this cat was anything but. She listened as the cat said that she was sorry that she felt that way. There was nothing that Snowpaw was ever sorry for. So the she-cat just growled lowly then she saw the hurt in the other apprentice blue eyes and the green eyed apprentice just held her gaze on Tansypaw. Then she nodded when the cat said that she would leave. She watched as the other cat left, her green gaze followed the calico apprentice as she left. Once she was gone Snowpaw grumbled, "Skittish mouse-brained apprentice. Good luck become a warrior if you jump at every cat you see."
