So my fiance was fired from his job last night. The local police set up a sting operation. They got an 18 year old, gave him a very convincing fake ID, and sent him into CVS where my fiance is an assistant manager to buy alcohol. My fiance checked his ID, didn't know it was fake, sold the 18 year old the alcohol, and when the guy walked out, the police walked in.
He was charged with a 2nd degree misdemeanor under "Selling alcohol to a minor" What a fucking set up. He was fired on the spot, and has court later this month where we'll probably get a $1000 fine.
Fucking crazy dude. We both have perfect, clean criminal records (or....he did...until now. -_-) AS WELL as driving records. We are outstanding citizens that work hard, attend college, and try to provide for our 3 month old daughter....shouldn't the police be out catching murders, speeders, drug dealers, rapists- HELL ANYTHING but INNOCENT PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING.
Really fucked up since HOW THE HELL IS HE SUPPOSED TO KNOW IT'S A FAKE ID?? It looked perfectly legit.
Anyways, that's my rant about my life. I'm having to pick up extra shifts at my job until he finds a new one. And we're really tight on bills since we just lost about $900 a month thanks to this lovely sting operation.
So I'm stressed and very irritated that society truly isn't fair. Not like he fucking knew the piece of shit kid (who is probably on probation and helping with this bullshit sting as part of community service) was a minor. Whatever. -_-
Anyways I keep ranting on and on (cause I'm obviously pissed off) but the main point is I'll probably be slow at replying because I'm working a lot right now. I'll still be here, and I'll do my best to reply quickly. Thanks for understanding. And please keep us in your thoughts. We need all the positive thinking we can get right now.
