Of the places you'll go (PATROL)

A cold wind whipped the grey warriors short fur as he walked out of the cave to wait for the rest of his patrol. A thin tail waved slowly and almost lazily in the air but his face remained neutral, those yellow eyes alert and watching everything around him. It was years of practice that meant nothing escaped his notice. Ashnight wanted this to be a thorough and efficient patrol so that anything they found, they could report back to Briarclaw and get on with finding Pebblestar. It was the afternoon of the deputies announcement and Ashnight was not wasting any time.

How could they when potentially they might be too late?

Ashnight stood upon reaching the outside of Talonclan, not waiting to sit down. The others should be here soon. The warrior was used to working alone and while he did work on patrols, for the most part Ashnight was present but never seen around camp. It seemed however, whenever something went down, he was called about to lead.

Littlerye sniffed, approaching Ashnight. "I don't see Pebblestar here," he said, "and really, I may think she's gone out of the territory. This cannot her willingly going out, of course- this may have been a cat-napping. Oh no, this is not good, indeed.

"Perhaps we should ask one of the other leaders. They may know something about their comrade, no?"

Ivyheart looked around camp finding her apprentice quickly, she felt somewhat bad for volunteering the apprentice. Wait, hold that thought. No Ivyheart didn't feel bad at all, it was pretty normal for a mentor to volunteer their apprentices for stuff. Ivyheart remembered herself when she was an apprentice that her mentor was volunteering her like crazy. It made for an unhappy apprentice but this was a big problem. The leader was missing, and well personally she just really didn't want to confront Tigerfang just quite yet. She knew that Pebblestar and herself were his only true friends which was fine but she knew that nobody would be able to talk to him not with his mate gone. Which was the other surprise, Ivyheart knew that Pebblestar wanted to run, but she didn't think the leader would leave. Ivyheart personally believed that Pebblestar wouldn't leave her clan. It was odd.

She finally spotted Goldenpaw and flick her tail and then she padded over to where Ashnight and Littlereye was. She nodded to the to other warriors, her pelt was dirty and ruffled as usual and she just blinked her bright green eyes at the two toms before saying, "This whole Pebblestar thing just seems weird. but I hope our leader is alright. What do you two think?"

Good, it wasn't long before the others soon arrived meaning they could get this patrol started. This was not a situation in which wasted time was irrelevant. Time was essential.

Ashnight greeted the other part of his patrol with a flick of his ears and upon hearing Littleryes words, there was a single shake of his head. No words, just a solid shake 'no'. The instructions had been simple. Lead a patrol of the borders and report back to Briarclaw. To venture into other clans territories would only cause more problems at this stage. Pebblestar could simply just have walked through Talonclan. If it so happened that something else was the case, then they would decide on a course of action then. As they were joined by everyone else, Ashnight stepped forward looking at the cats. "Everyone.. here?" As usual his voice was rough, almost raw and unused. It was curt and broken in places when he spoke but underlying all that his deep voice was strong, each word clipped.

It was obvious that the grey warrior wanted to head out and get this started.

Time was of the essence.

Goldenpaw followed her mentor with quick steps, why were warriors so big after all? They could be all small and then she would have no problems at all with following them around the clan or the territory or whatever place they wanted to lead her to, her mentor had given her name without the apprentice consent in the first place, not that she was unhappy but annoyance was growing inside her slowly as she kept getting deep in snow and having to jump around like a rabit, she was a cat for Starclan sake! The apprentice had never seem so much snow before and was starting to hate it very very much, but finally after a long time of getting stuck in the white stuff she reached the other warriors. "Sorry Ashnight, we can go now" She meowed shyly her golden eyes sparking with annoyance, snow, was not for her.
