Falcon
It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair.
Sootkit had spent the entire last three hours searching. Searching helplessly.
Where was he?
She looked all through the empty nest, all through the nursery, in all of their old hiding places and forts. Where was he? Was he hiding from her? Surely not. He was her best friend, for always, and yet . . . . where was he. And then she'd been told. By a very, very hesitant Hailsong. That he'd left the nursery, gone to the apprentice den, become an apprentice (not necessarily in that order). And all with out her! It wasn't fair.
And thus, tis led to the long haired, black kit sneaking out of her home, and an into the cold world. She shivered as she bounded through the snow (which was more like jumping from behind one pile to the next to avoid her black coat being noticed, thankful she wasn't horribly large, and could easily fit behind each snow bank as she ran to where his scent was now strongest.
So this was the apprentice den?
She made her way in, hiding in the shadows easily as she looked for Firek- Firepaw. She frowned softly as she looked around before finally seeing a familiar face, a ginger pelt. And she took off at a run, immediately leaping and tackling him with a huff, landing on his back, "You left me!" She half growled at her best friend, easily fitting against his side, her front paws locked over his back, her long fur blending into his. He was still slightly larger, still slightly older, but she was definitely catching up. She pouted as she looked up at him, dark green eyes flashing, "You didn't even give me any warning." She added with another pout, before promply pushing her face into the fur of his neck, "I can't believe you're an apprentice! It's not fair, why can't I be one too? Who's going to build forts with me now?" She asked, before looking up at him, "You have to tell me all about your training though, promise? And as soon as I'm an apprentice too we can train together!
