Icy clouds slipped from the thin lips of the splotched calico she-cat the moment she stepped into the frigid clearing of Sunsetclan. Snow sparkled from the tree's above them, and a fresh crisp blanket covered the sandy shores of the beach. Poison yellow orbs observed the waves crashing and falling for a few heartbeats, slightly transfixed by their tranquility. Fluffing her long, well cared for, fur the petite femme made a path towards the apprentice den knowing that she had work to do today. It had been a few sun rises since her warrior naming ceremony, and threat from Sandstrike, that also included receiving her first apprentice. It was strange that a new warrior would get an apprentice on the day off, but Ratstar was different compared to other leader's. No matter, she welcomed having a cat to teach with open paws.
A young blank mind to mold suited her perfectly.
Finally reaching her destitination the she-cat stopped outside the entrance, her large ears picking up the sounds of snores. Bunch of no good, lazy pieces of fur, she thought darkly to herself. "Ferretpaw!" She meowed rather loudly into the den, hoping to wake a few of them up along with her apprentice. "Ferretpaw! It's time for training." A growl met her ears, and she narrowed her eyes in annoyance. Sure enough out walked her younger brother, and recently appointed to apprenticeship, Sunpaw. "Gosh Russetfox, I'm surprised Stormclan didn't hear you with your yowling." He brushed past with a massive yawn before trotting into the empty clearing. Russetfox growled back, and just caught the tip of his dark red plumed tail, taking a few hairs. The tom yelped and scooted forwards, "Watch it!" He snarled and high-tailed it towards the warriors den, hoping his mentor Softblossom was awake. "Ferretpaw!" She meowed crossly, more annoyed with Sunpaw then with her apprentice.
