Ashsong ran, the world spinning around her. All she could see was endless starlight. She wanted to wake up, and tell herself that it was all a dream. It felt like one. The starry shapes, the vast warm land. It should be leaf-bare right now, not the middle of green-leaf. Please someone wake me up! She cried desperately into the starry sky. I cannot be in StarClan. It isn't my time. but the memories of her death were vivid and real, like the colorful leaves in leaf-fall. 

Ashsong shut her eyes, willing all of it to go away. Maybe this is one of those dreams the medicine cats have. Maybe I just imagined drowning in the river. It doesn't seem like such an unlikely dream. but the pain.... the suffocating, choking water...... it was so real..........

[Falcon]

Nightcrow raced after her, his long legs easily matching her stride tilting his head slightly "Are you alright ma'am" he asked politely, though he wandered the skies longer then she has he is ever polite to she-cats no matter their age, he was raised that why "what seems to be the matter?"

Ashsong was stunned for a heartbeat. Who are you? Is this a dream or a nightmare? Where are we? The words flew from her mouth, in a moment of panic she wanted to flee. This was not a Stormclan cat, and she was in a strange place far from Stormclan territory. This isn't StarClan right? This is just a twisted dream. Please tell me I didn't die!Her mind in a whirl of thoughts, Ashsong collapsed on the misty ground.

[Falcon]

"I am Nightcrow and this is Starclan, welcome to our ranks might I ask your name? This is no dream I'm afraid but don't fear you aren't in danger any longer the cause of your death is in Stormclan lands, would you like me to show you around? help you get settled in?"

So it's true. Ashsong whispered. I really did die. She stood in silence for a moment, but then she remembered. My name is Ashsong of Stormclan. I would appreciate a tour. Still scarcely believing it, Ashsong followed him. I guess I could get used to this. I dout cats that are already dead can die after all.

[Falcon]

Nightcrow smiled and dipped his head leading the way "Stormclan, I had a few friends in that clan once before I joined Starclan, I still see them now and again around the stars, do you have anyone you know here or am I your first friend here?" he looked back kindly keeping his pace even

I do not know any other StarClan cats. Ashsong murmured. All of my kin are back in Stormclan. She turned her somber gaze on him. How can I live this way? Do you ever wish you were back in the clans? Don't you miss being alive, and feeling the wind on your fur? She gazed wistfully into the distance. Can I ever get used to this? Ashsong wondered.

[Falcon]

"Actually, my kin and my friends have already joined me here, I've been here for quite a long time, like you taken in my prime, but in a much harsher way" he lifts his neck revealing a harsh scar "and the wind is present here in Starclan, it's just like being alive"

Ashsong took a few heartbeats to digest all that he had said. For the first time she noticed the breeze and the gentle sway of the trees. There were even other cats, sharing tounges beside patches of fern, and lush dark juniper bushes.
"I never realized...." Suddenly StarClan looked as beautiful as she'd always imagined it. She found herself somewhat eager to explore StarClan territory. Dead or alive, there were many possibilities. "Where do the cats of Starclan meet? She asked, curious about about the other cats that lived in this place.

[Falcon]

"Well they're are several places we enjoy gathering but the most popular spot is the Heat Rocks, they are a set of rocks that were once a smaller part of a ravine but in time the rocks grew to become a small path like form and lots of cats like to sit there, nap or even fish if they feel the desire"

Ashsong followed him to a group of rocks bathed in sunlight. Many cats were gathered, dozing on the warm stones, or chatting quietly. She noticed a few kits and and an apprentice, and regretted feeling sorry for herself when so many others had it worse. She settled on a smooth rock overlooking a field of wildflowers, and pondered what she might do with her life in StarClan.

[Falcon]

A small grey apprentice padded over to Nightcrow and weaved between his legs a moment before he ran off to join the kits and other apprentices in a game, though the grey cat looks like he would be an apprentice age, he was barely larger then the kits that he played with "Lives might've needed badly, or to soon then we would've liked, but here we can finally have peace we don't need to worry about winter's chill or sickness, no Twolegs or lack of prey, it might not be as exciting as our living moons but at least we are able to watch over our loved ones and our clans whether it be Storm, Midnight, Sunset, Leaf, or Talon, here we are all the same, spirits watching over the living and guiding them to a better tomorrow and I think that's a wonderful thing"

Ashsong dipped her head. "Thank you for making me realize that death is not the end, Nightcrow. For that, I am forever in your debt. She smiled.
"I think I may grow to like it here. At least there's no leaf-bare." Whith that, Ashsong wandered off, feeling happy for the first time since her death. She hoped to see Nightcrow again, but also wished to meet other cats. She had never known her mother or father, but she wondered if they walked among the stars. Either way, it was a new day, and a new beginning. And Ashsong was ready.
