The large tom walked calmly through the rocky terrain just outside of the clan territory, a rather large rabbit clamped in his jaws, the creature easily lifted off the ground, thanks in large part to his massive size. The tom moved easily - through the area, into camp, and dropped the large animal onto the freshkill pile with a sweep of his tail through the air, before turning to look around slowly. Despite being massive, nearly 18 inches tall (and still growning!), as well as 24 lbs, he was no small cat. Infact he was nearly the size of a medium size dog. And the looks he got from some apprentices, and kittens, was priceless. He stretched slowly, tail swishing through the air before he headed towards his preferred alcove, this time using his strong claws to help him scale the wall of it just slightly to settle into the natural indent in the wall, protected. A wall to his back, a wall to reach him, a roof atop -- and his gaze capable of focusing on those around, he felt comfortable. No one could sneak up behind him, and he could see all those around him. A saving grace for a paranoid cat. And still he sat, he waited, calmly watching the world around him, calmly observing. One thing was true of the tom. He was always, always alert.

The brown furred feline lay down calmly on a sunny spot, basking on a rock as his gaze kept flickering around the camp, darting from kit to cat in an effort to keep track of everyone's comings and goings. Giving up after the fifth cat left and then came back seconds later, he turned his olive green eyes on the entrance to the rather well hidden camp. Unsurprisingly, another cat entered the camp, a very, very large rabbit in his jaws. Not having anything else to do, he ended up following the cat, eyes and ears perked as the tom headed to an alcove. Deciding not to follow, he just gave a brisk nod to the cat, silently thanking him for his hard work. Catching a rabbit that size was nothing to sneeze at after all.

Shadowriver glanced towards the tom who'd stood at his passing, before turning to walk straight ahead, and while the large male might not seem it, his entire attention was on the tom now 'following' him, as he dropped the rabbit into the pile. The massive cat moved towards his preferred alcove, relieved to not see the other following him there too, and at the other's nod, the massive black and white cat merely shrugged his shoulders, shaking the thanks off as if it were no big deal. It was only a catch, but with his size, it was far easier to bring in decent prey . . . but that's what happens when you're the size of a dog.

Wildclaw pondered for a minute, all but getting a shrug from the oversized tom. Perhaps it would be a good idea to talk to the large feline? He had heard of Shadowriver, but knew very little about him. Apart from the fact that he was the size of a dog. That was something pretty much everyone knew of. Chuckling to himself, he cocked his head sideways, as if asking Do you mind if I join you?

Shadowriver glanced tto the tom, watching as the other cocked his head. The large male sighed, a heavy sound before he shrugged and looked away, his gaze moving over the surrounding land, his head held high, his expression calm, quiet, neutral. So much to see, so much to watch over . . . . but what did this other tom want from him.

Watching the other tom sigh, Wildclaw prepared himself for this to be a lost cause. but being the friendly tom he was, he felt a need to have at least talked to all the other cats in his clan. His life could be in their hands one day after all. Wondering whether or not the heavy sigh was a yes, he took it as the latter and scrambled up to join the cat in his peace. "Sorry to bother you. I just like high places and you seem to have found good one..." He meowed, cautiously not finishing his sentence. He didn't want to get on the giant cats bad side after all.
