The small tortoiseshell kit sat in the corner of the nursery. She looked at the other kits, playing in the early morning sun. She lay down and rested her head on her paws. I wish I had some friends to play with... Being shy,she didn't like to approach other cats. So, naturally she didn't have any other friends. Just then s leaf drifted down from one of the trees above her. She lept up and batted it with her paws. She pinned it to the ground and bit it in her teeth. Sh stood up, eyes shining. My first catch! I'm practically ready to be a warrior!

Goldenkit mewed in protest as his mother gently cleaned him. Blossommist chuckled as she listened to Goldenkit's protests.

Goldenkit was finally allowed to move. He grinned happily. He noticed Maplekit pounce on a leaf. Goldenkit trotted up to Maplekit right away. "Hey!" Goldenkit greeted warmly.

Unlike most kits, Acornkit wasn't playing or wrestling around. He simply sat in one of the furthest corners of the nursery, his darkly striped tail wrapped snug around his paws. The even stranger part was why he was in the corner. It wasn't because he didn't like being around the other kits, no, it was because he was too afraid to play with them. Who knows what others who think of him? He was too big of a coward to find out anyways. Sighing, Acornkit glanced down at his golden brown paws. Would he ever find friends?

Maplekit looked up in surprise as Goldenkit approached her. Hey! She looked at him, starltled. What should I say? Hey......? She looked over his shoulder and saw Acornkit sitting by himself in another corner of the nursery. He looks so lonely. Should I go over and talk to him? but wouldn't it be rude to leave Goldenkit like that? She decided to stay put. Umm, so Goldenkit.... How are you?

"Umm, so Goldenkit.... How are you?"

Goldenkit twitched his ears before replying. "I'm reeeeally bored. Got any ideas on what to do? Hope you do! All I get to do is sit stay still while my mother cleans me," he complained. Goldenkit did not give Maplekit a chance to reply. He trotted towards Acornkit. What's her doing all alone? "Come on! Come and join I and Maplekit," Goldenkit mewed.

The little tortoiseshell padded slowly after Goldenkit as he headed for Acornkit. She stopped beside him and looked at her denmate. Come on Acornkit. She mewed quietly. Why don't you join us? She wasn't as loud as Goldenkit and to be honest, was a bit intimidated by the kit. but he's nice. And that counts for a lot.
