Featherheart sat near the nursery, looking as if she was on duty or something. Perhaps the she-cat was pregnant?

Hah. That is what she wished.

Featherheart was being sour, the beautiful snow white she-cat glared at just about any tom that walked past her, and when little kits came out of the nursery she looked down at them with sorrow filled eyes. There was a certain black cloud hanging over her that frightened toms and kits away from her. The she-cat glanced down at her paws digging her claws into the ground as she chewed on a whisker. Her feathery tail twitched behind her as she tried to hide her emotions. 

She hated WhisperClan, she hated toms, she hated queens with mates, she hated any cats with mates, she hated everyone. More importantly the person she hated most was the one who toke his position. She hated the new Deputy more than anything.

The young deputy traversed the clearing, shouting at apprentices, and reprimanding escaping kits. It wasn't something he liked, but as a warrior, it was one of his jobs to keep the turmoil down.

Thrushleap bowed his head and crept past the leader's den, keeping a hopeful ear towards the entrance in case Fangstar wanted to talk. He felt like the leader was his only friend; he didn't have anyone else. Nobody had noticed him but the white tom.

Looking around, while sitting on the edge of the clearing like he did everyday, he spotted Featherheart across the clearing, giving every passing tom the stink eye. StarClan, was she pretty. Thrushleap looked away. With Wolfshadow missing, the she-cat had been in a bad mood, and Thrushleap feared that, as he took the missing tom's place as deputy, Featherheart would loathe him.

but at the same time, everyone was busy except her, and he had an obligation to make sure everyone was working hard. So, he got up, treading on eggshells, and approached Featherheart. "Excuse me," he said, disgusted at his own timid mood, "if you aren't planning to do anything, then I suggest you join a patrol. We need all the effort to make WhisperClan work."

ooc: Do you want to try them out as mates, or just have them be friends/acquaintances?

Thats when something snapped, that is when she felt like a complete rogue, someone would wanted to burnt he Clan down. Twitching her ears in annoyance the she-cat flashed her eyes up at the tom as they seemed to brighten in color with her rage, she stood up swiftly and wasn't afraid to attempt to get in his face."Yes EXCUSE you! What you think you become deputy and you can just boss everyone around! As if I'd every listen to YOU!" Her cheeks had puffed out like she had often did when Wolfshadow had angered her, she remembered how he would tease he and poke at her cheeks with his paw. This only angered her more and her feathery tail spiked out looking like she had been shocked.

A few cats near by seemed to slink away including an apprentice named Mousepaw who was often eager to join in on fights and arguments, however it seems some of the Clan knew it wasn't the time to mess with Featherheart.

The she-cat narrowed her bright green eyes at the tom as they filled with hatred. "Just wait until Wolfshadow comes back! He won't be back The Clan knew that... Featherheart knew that. "Then you won't think you are so big and bad! Her ears laid back and her eyes flickered away as if she was trying to hide the truth that she knew he wouldnt be back.

"Excuse you! As if I'd ever listen to you!"

Thrushleap was momentarily taken aback. Who was this priss of a she-cat? His defensive side took over, and he began to grow as angry as her.

"Just wait until Wolfshadow comes back! Then you won't think you're so big and bad!"

"Big and bad?" He retorted in disbelief. "Since when have I ever said I was big and bad? I think you're the one who's thinking you're big. Don't you care about the Clan? Stop sitting around and wasting your life and waiting until your mate comes back- oh wait, HE WAS NEVER YOUR MATE! He never wanted you! Why? 'Cause you're such a foxheart!" he snarled viciously.

He glared around him at the cats backing off. Lakepounce was staring with her mouth slightly open, and Logpaw's ears were flattened, obviously trying to block out the sound. This made him even more furious, and snarled at the small tom.

"Stop looking at me!"

Warriors swears only, please.

-Midnight

Featherheart was ready, she was ready for him to get mad and to snap back at him, heck she needed to get some anger out. What she wasn't ready for was what actually happened next. Her ears perked up and she took a step back mouth open. Her bright green eyes widened and she paused for a moment, she looked like a helpless she-cat for a split second. During that split second she remembered how Wolfshadow had embraced her after their first hunting trip that had gone bad. He had shown his soft side to her and that is whens he fell for him. Many moons after and she felt neglected from the tom she liked the most but she treasured everyday with him.

Suddenly Featherheart snapped her jaw closed and leaped, yes leaped at the deputy. Her forepaws extended claws showing teeth bared, and a nasty snarl coming from her as she aimed at the deputies face hoping to blind him, to rip an ear off, to scratch his ugly little face up. Anything to make him hurt as bad as she was.

For a second, Thrushleap considered backing off. Featherheart seemed to be at a loss; her lips were trembling.

Then, as fast as she had been shocked, he was knocked down in a blur.

"What the-"

The white she-cat was on him, and his head jerked around, trying to avoid her furious swipes, her claws grazing his face. Pushing back with his front paws, he tried to wiggle out of her grasp. He refused to fight back. I'm not sinking to her level!

"You know how foolish you look?" He growlrd through clenched teeth. "I guess, since you're such a fox-headed piece of mouse dung, you're so blind that you dare to attack a Clanmate! How low can you stoop?"

Featherheart snarled at the tom and felt triumph that she had managed to tackle him down, however she was a small sized she-cat and struggled to remain where she was as he pushed against her. Featherheart tumbledaway landing on her side but she was up in a matter of seconds ready to pounce again.

"Foolish you say? You shouldn't even be deputy! You would make a worthless leader after speaking such horrid words to a Clanmate." Her tail whipped back and forth behind her violently, she would rather die then be lead by someone like him let alone listen to him.

The white she-cat stood up and glared at the tom, she had always been kind and never really hated anyone, but Wolfshadow had ruined her and she felt more hatred towards this tom then anything else. She opened her mouth as to say more but simply closed it.

[Lionhearted]

"I said it because you deserved it," Thrushleap said, jumping up after Featherheart had stepped off. "You can't just stay in that one place, trying to bring ol' Wolfshadow back. I miss him too, you foxheart. but we have to accept that he's gone and move on. My brothers disowned me, and my sister ran off with a StormClanner- I've moved on. I'm trying to be a credit to the Clan. What about you? Stop moping and get back on your feet- the Clan needs you. If Wolfshadow comes back, that's great. If he doesn't, well, he didn't become friends with this Featherheart, did he?" he said, looking her up and down with fading contempt.

Featherheart cheeks puffed out before she exploded again "Stop calling me a foxheart! You're the one that no one likes! pft don't tell me you're stupid too mr. no friends! You shouldn't even be a deputy, you should be back where you belong... in a two-legs nest you nasty kittypet." Her eyes narrowed and she snarled at him her fur spiking out.

You moved on because you are heartless! She shook her head slowly her eyes only burning with angry Give credit to the Clan? How by making others feel worst? If that's how you plan to be a deputy then.. I hope you die. Her head pulled up and she stared at his eyes with a straight face no able to say more.

"Nobody knows I'm like this!" Thrushleap said furiously, "until you came along! And I was never a kittypet!" Snarling, he thrust his face into hers. "And I hope I die, too. Then, I won't have to deal with all this!" Sniffing in anger, he turned away to leave. "Get to work," he muttered. "This is over. I'm wasting my life."

Featherheart stood up tall when he turned away and she simply smirked "I would do what you told me if my life depended on it." She simply sat back where she was and turned her head up and away from him staring off into the distance. Her eyes seemed to soften as she glanced somewhere far away.

Wolfshadow, you should come back for the Clan.. or at least come back for me.

Her shoulders stiffened as she stared up at the sky watching the fast moving clouds fly by.
