The black-and-white tom breathed in the rotten air. The breeze smelled of decay and was warm; the entire place was hot and humid.

The Place of No Stars did not offer good climate. It was either extremely hot or extremely cold. Blackthunder strode on without flinching at the sudden down-plunge in temperature. He was used to it; almost fading, he was nothing but a hard, shadowy shell of a tainted soul.

He grinned. With one swift grab, he swiped the soul of his newest target: Longpaw.

The apprentice should've been dreaming now. Blackthunder concentrated upon the young cat's soul, and entered his dreamland. Willing it to turn into a meadow, he nonchalantly stepped on a butterfly and approached Longpaw.

"Hi there!" He said.

Longpaw turned around. His face was void and undaunted. He glanced lazily at the cat who appeared out of no where. Longpaw stepped closer towards the strange cat. He smelled a rotten smell. Longpaw's nose wrinkled in digust. "You wouldn't mind telling me what that yucky smell is?" Longpaw mewed with a hint of disaproval. He thought about adding something else, but Longpawdecided other wise.

"I'm sorry. I just got in a bad tamper with a Dark Forester who tried to come to our place. Sorry about that." Blackthunder kicked himself mentally and willed the scent to fade gradually, replaced by the soft breeze of the meadow. A butterfly flew past, and he resisted the urge to kill it. "Welcome to StarClan. What's your name?" he tried asking.

Longpaw narrowed his eyes. There was something off about this cat. Calm down Longpaw. You're over imagining. Besides, its not like a StarClan cat is much of a threat to me. "My name? My name is Longpaw. I'm surprised a StarClan cat like you does not know that. Now, what is your name?" Longpaw mswed with a smug smile. Which clan did this cat come from? Longpaw's eyes widened. What if he's a fprmer MidnightClan cat come to get revenge. Longpaw grimanced as he remembered seeing Jade's life ebb away. By his claws. but she was a half blood and all of MidnighClan deserves to be obliberated anyways.

Blackthunder frowned. "Such arrogance from such a young cat. You have much to learn, but I do not wish to teach such a stuck-up warrior. Continue being this way, and you will never become a good warrior." Anger rippled through him, but something told him not to attack Longpaw. It would make the cowardly mouse-head run off yowling about how a Dark Forester had attacked him. It would spoil everything. So instead, he opted to walk away.

Longpaw, in vain, tried to surpass a laughter. He couldn't believe this strange cat thought he was a warrior. After all, Longpaw was only an apprentice. However, he was due for his warrior ceremony very soon. "Why did you call me a warrior? If you're here to correct me..." Longpaw mewed threateningly. He layed his ears back and his fur started bristling. "Get out of my sight," Longpaw snarled.
