OOC: DON'T YOU GO BREAKING MY HEART. XD Was thinking of adding a little tragedy, but hmm...
Webpaw finally got those words out. He finally let go of the words that had been choking his throat for a while; he didn't need to hide or be anxious about finding the right way to bring it forth to the cat he was crushing on anymore. He had done it! He'd finally confessed to the wiry-furred she-cat from across the river! It took so much effort. The effort was worth it. No more worries. No more of keeping a secret from Rainpaw. He turned his head to look at her, already expecting a shocked expression of some sort...
"Why did you have to do that!" Rainpaw's voice lacked that tartness he was used to; it seemed confused and at a loss, struggling to work out words to convey the onslaught of emotions. The StormClan apprentice was startled to see the pain in her eyes, and his heart skipped a beat at her next words, "Why couldn't you just...just leave well enough alone!"
W...What? His white pelt bristled as the cold winds suddenly engulfed the area where Rainpaw had been, his tail lifted from the stone in alarm. With a silent cry of surprise, Webpaw watched as the silver tabby apprentice leapt off the Platform, landing with a slight stagger on the MidnightClan side of the riverbank, and she looked ready to even run through the trees back to where he didn't dare to tread. Webpaw's eyes blue eyes widened as he shot onto all four paws, bracing himself against the wave of nausea that struck him as he did. She's running away... The thought made him sick in the stomach, his maw slack in disbelief. Runnin away from me...! Rainpaw...! The look of despair was slapped onto his face, the feeling twisting his heart. With a howl that contained a mix of hurt and anger, he launched himself off the Platform, aiming for the bank.
The strong emotions that overwhelmed him caused him to misjudge his jump, but even with half his body trailing in the water from the stumble, it didn't stop the tom one bit in his scramble to reach the MidnightClan apprentice. "Rainpaw, please! Please! Don't go!"
He didn't bother shaking off the water from his fur that dribbled off almost seamlessly, giving it a strange shine in the dying moonlight, the grey splotches on his spine turning into a glowing silver. He caught up to the silver tabby, who was giving him a look of attempted fury. Or maybe it really was fury but he didn't know it. WHATEVER! He needed to talk to Rainpaw, to tell her that everything was going to be all right.
"Please.. I really do love you. We can make this work and no one has to know! You make me feel happier, and no other she-cat has made me this way before, not even in my Clan!" he blurted out, standing right ahead of Rainpaw, blue orbs locked with dark yellow. "I promise.. I promise no one will ever find out. No one will know, not even when either of us are dead!" Webpaw couldn't bear the thought of losing everything right this second. He knew his heart was with Rainpaw, the beautiful tabby from the other side of the river, and no cat in his own Clan could top her. He was telling the truth that no one made his heart flutter in elation, or gave him sweet dreams in the darkness of the night. No. Only Rainpaw could give him such a state of mind. "If StarClan disapproved, they would have sent clouds to cover the moon by now! The stars would have glared! Lightning should have struck me and killed me...!"
Webpaw's lower jaw froze midway. Did...Did I really say that?

~Floating, falling, sweet intoxication,
Touch me, trust me, savour each sensation.
Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in,
To the power of the music that I write..
The power of the Music of the Night.~
