The little tabby kit lay on the nursuary floor, her eyes closed. She was dreaming about the rain. It pattered down softly on her pelt, sounding exactly like little pawsteps. The droplets began to squeak. She frowned. Raindrops don't squeak..
Just then Rainkit woke. A her of small kits were running around the nursuary. She got to her paws and smiled. She could remember what it was like to be a little care-free kit. Even though she was only two moons old, Rainkit knew that she was older than a lot of the kits. She stretched and began to wash her fur. I wonder what I'll do today... Who knows, I might even make some new friends!
