OOC: Hehe. Roselocke How long should I wait until she finally admits to herself that she is in love with this tom of yours? Should I torture you through another couple of threads? *virtual smirk* Sorry it took so long to get this thread up. My mom had me get off the computer for a while.
IC: The tall golden tabby slipped through the sharp thorns of the surrounding bushes almost effortlessly. She hadn't hunted in the Thorn Bushes often, yet she avoided the thorns as if it were second nature. It was Greenleaf, and even though Leafbare was still plenty of moons away, all she could think about was how many any little piece of prey would feed. Being leader of LeafClan, she wanted more than anything for her clan to be healthy so they could survive the harsh months of the cold seasons so there was nothing wrong with starting to prepare in greenleaf. Besides, being out here in the quiet LeafClan territory provided an escape from her duties as leader.
She padded forward a little longer until she was about two tail lengths deep into the thorn bushes. At this point Sunstar stopped to scent the air. During the warm moons, there were plenty of mice to be found in the safety of the thorns. One really needed to be an expert hunter to hunt surrounded by the otherwise dangerous plants. No she didn't excel in hunting, but she was still good enough to catch enough prey to feed the queens and elders of LeafClan. Sunstar stood as still as she could, so as not to scare off any potential prey. Finally, after several heartbeats of anxiously waiting for a scent to make it's way towards her, she caught the scent of mice.
'It smells like at least a whole burrow of them!' She thought excitedly and dropped as quietly as she could into a hunting crouch without scraping her sides on the thorns. 'Now where are they?' She continued sniffing out this burrow and finally pinpointed it's location directly in front of her. Now to wait in silence for the prey to come to her. Hopefully no other cat or predator would disturb this quiet little waiting game.
