Learning The Medicine Cat Ways (Polarpaw Only!)

Midnightstar woke up as usual, every day is just about the same... Get up, train Cloudpaw... All of that fun stuff. She got up and walked out of her den. Seems like the dawn patrol is already out....Hmmm... Midnightstar looked around, bored..

Polarpaw sighed, limping around the camp. His tail crooked and limp behind him, a reminder of how he'd been nearly crushed to death by the fox. His sprained limbs seemed to be healing well, but his tail was still rather sore. If it were to get fixed, then it would take a long while of resting it. If it would even get back to normal again one day.

Polarpaw spotted Midnightstar now, and wondered why the black-furred leader wasn't off on a patrol, or doing leader things. He kept limping, his head down. He was still ashamed after the whole fox incident.

Midnightstar saw Polarpaw, "What's up?" She mewed.

Polarpaw stiffened, then turned to his leader. She seemed to have forgotten about the whole incident, though she still bore the bandages he had given her. "Oh, hello Midnightstar." He said, rather sheepishly. "Nothing really, ya' know, just organizing herbs and treating the wounded." He said, probably sounding like an idiot.

I don't want to remember the fox... We were all hurt by it... "How's your tail?" Midnightstar asked reluctantly, I don't want him to think I have a poor memory or that I'm stupid, either, though...

Polarpaw lowered his gaze from Midnightstar a bit, sighing quietly. "It'thh healing, I juthht don't have much hope of it returning back to normal. It'thh gonna take a miracle." He said, rather sadly and disapointedly. He let his gaze trail up again though, and he half-smiled. "How about your gathh? It cut you pretty deep." He said, wishing not to dwell on his tail anymore really.

"I hope it heals... My gash is fine." Midnightstar mewed, looking at her side, Wow... I hadn't realized how bad it was... I cared more about the others than myself.
