Birdheart vs Liontooth - Tournament Round 2

[Wolf]

Birdheart (Echo) and Liontooth (Heron)

[Heron]

Liontooth raised his head proudly and stepped onto the battle field, body tense and ready to strike. His fluffy ears twitched in anticipation, as did his whiskers. Once he stepped in halfway to meet his opponent, the Stormclan warrior stopped walking and stood still. He took a fighting stance and prepared himself.

[Echo]

Birdheart walked into the battle field and ran straight at her opponent. She didn't take any time to think, she just ran. Her one foreleg was out-stretched as if she were reaching to claw Liontooth's face, but instead she jumped up and tried to turn herself in the air so she could land square on his back.

[Heron]

Liontooth braced himself for her attack, tensing his body as if she were about to claw his face. When she jumped into the air and flipped over, falling down hard on his back, he hissed. Immediately he responded by flipping his body in an attempt to slam her onto the ground; hoping to pin her against the ground under his own weight.

[Echo]

Birdheart was happy her attack had worked, but all the joy was wiped away in a second when her opponent flipped her over. She fell hard into the ground, the wind being knocked out of her. She regained consciousness easily, but realized she was now pinned. This didn't faze her, however. Birdheart kicked her hind legs up instantly towards the toms lower stomach, hoping she would hit him and hit him hard.

[Heron]

Liontooth grinned to himself, mentally cheering himself on as he pinned the other warrior to the ground with ease. It had worked! As he bared his long fangs to sink into her throat, he was met with a sharp blow to the stomach. Liontooth snarled and peeled himself off of her, doubling over and wheezing for breath. He knew better, however, than to leave himself vulnerable to another attack. The large tom hissed and kicked up the battlefield's dirt at Birdheart, hoping to temporarily blind her long enough for him to reach out and strike again.

[Echo]

Birdheart coughed when she was greeted by clouds of dust. She moved away from the brown mist and focused on Liontooth. "Smart move, but it's going to take a little more than dust to stop me" She growled. Then she ran in a half circle so she was facing the side of her opponent and ran head on towards his side, hoping to knock him over and leave a nasty bite in his stomach.

[Heron]

Liontooth watched the dirt fly into her face, but she remarkably shrugged it off. Tougher than he thought, then. He kept his gaze on her, fully prepared and ready for her as she leaped forward intending to strike his side. He sprang into the air, his long legs coming in handy as he gracefully twisted himself around. He reached forward as he jumped and turned, intending to reach out with a sharp claw to dig into her shoulder blades. Liontooth let out a roaring hiss, his long fur fluffed in annoyance.

She felt claws reach her shoulder blade and rip tufts of fur and skin out. This was going to slow her down for sure, but she would put on an evil smirk and act like it didn't. She turned her body sideways and went for Liontooth's shoulder, hoping to use the same attack. "An eye for an eye, a shoulder for a shoulder"

[Heron]

Liontooth hissed as she dug into his shoulder, not listening to what she had to say. He quickly and forcefully turned himself, hoping to drag her down along with him in an attempt to shake her off. This cat was putting up quite the fight, and all he needed to do was pin her down-- then he would be set, he decided. but getting her to the ground hadn't been as easy as he had thought. His large teeth poked out from beneath his lips.

[Echo]

Birdheart fell to the ground right on her bad shoulder, filling the wound with dirt. That will be a pain to clean later. "Not today" She screeched, pushing herself out of his danger zone, standing again. "Not ever!" She yelled, then running in a circle around the warrior to hopefully confuse him. Next she went in at a random time, almost no hints pointing to the fact she was doing this (she hoped), and ran head on, ready to knock him over, her single forepaw unsheathed and ready to scratch him to bits if it worked.

[Heron]

Liontooth watched her with keen eyes as she jumped to her feet, screeching, and started to bolt around him. He snarled. "You talk too much." He remarked irritably, tail swinging back and forth in anticipation. When she came at him head on, he braced himself for the impact. She did not knock him over as she intended to, but still made impact, and Liontooth reached over to snap his teeth on her extended forepaw.

[Echo]

She hissed when he told her she talked too much. "You didn't have to listen. And because you did, that means I distracted you"

Then her forepaw got caught in his teeth and she fell on her belly, hard. She didn't have another forepaw to hold her up, so she didn't have a proper base with the forepaw taken away. She let her claws slip out while her paw was in his mouth, hoping to be able to pull back and make him spit blood.
