Cloudbreeze vs Dawnblaze - Tournament Round 2

Cloudbreeze (Lionhearted) and Dawnblaze (Ambrose)

[Lionhearted]

Cloudbreeze loped around Dawnblaze like a tiger circling its prey. He had won the first match, but would he win the second? Flattening his ears, the large white tom narrowed his eyes, and, seconds later, lunged at the other warrior, hoping to knock her down with brute strength. He was not a small cat- rather, he looked like a large cloud shooting towards Dawnblaze.

[Ambrose]

Dawnblaze was ever so grateful to make it this far. She prayed silently to StarClan; after all, this was in honour of them; and threw herself right in.
The other cat was circling her viciously, and Dawnblaze felt slightly trapped. Her fur erect, she snarled and whipped her tail across the ground. Cloudbreeze hurled himself at Dawnblaze, all the muscles in his body at work in a spectacular jump. Dawnblaze panicked. As he flew ever closer to her, she prepared a paw, claws out, and tried to scratch his face that was hurtling towards her.

[Lionhearted]

The look of panic on Dawnblaze's face made Cloudbreeze smile inwardly. However, he was not prepared for the paw that she had stretched out, and only saw the gleam of the claws at the last moment.

"Foxdung!" Her claws jabbed into his cheek, and he rolled away, reaching a large, ham-like paw with claws towards Dawnblaze, hoping to catch her side as he rolled.

[Ambrose]

Dawnblaze could not suppress a delighted purr of joy as she hit Cloudbreeze. Yes! I'm doing it right! she thought. but now he was trying to get her. And he succeeded; his claws sunk into her, Dawnblaze squealing in pain. Since he was rolling, she aimed a swift paw at his belly, claws unsheathed, hoping to give him a quick jab of pain.

[Lionhearted]

Cloudbreeze smiled grimly as Dawnblaze cried out.

"Ouch!" He had been so busy rolling that her claws had caught his stomach, but his thick fur prevented her from piercing his flesh; she had nonetheless gotten a few chunks of his white fur. I'll look bad for days! No, focus, Cloudbreeze, you're facing life and death here. Growling in frustration, he stood up, eyeing Dawnblaze warily. He quickly swiped with a paw, aiming for her shoulder. If I injure her shoulders, she may be unbalanced, and I can take it from there...

[Ambrose]

Dawnblaze was blazing with adrenaline, released through her claws. She had been storing this energy inside of herself, despite not knowing. And it was finally time to let it go. 
Dawnblaze cringed a little when Cloudbreeze came for her with a paw, but she tried to retaliate, all the same. He did hit her, and the pain was average, but Dawnblaze tried to bite his paw, which she would then try to pull to knock him over.

[Lionhearted]

For a moment, Cloudbreeze thought he had her. However, she didn't seem to be weakened in any way, and frustrated took over momentarily. How strong is she, really? he thought bitterly. Pain suddenly shot up from his paw, and Dawnblaze's jaws had clamped over one. Snarling, he pulled it away quickly, and charged at her, trying to slam her to the ground.
