The Badger pokes his Paw in the Leaf's Business!

    Badgerpaw padded out of the apprentice den, the morning light had covered everything like a blanket, and soon heat would beat down. He yawned and stretched his front legs.  Then, while he turned and headed to the warrior den to wait for Leafdapple, his mind wondered. He remember only a couple days before, how he went around the territories with Palepaw.
That was really nice, I should ask if she wants to do that again. A gentle smile filled his face as he thought of Paleaw.
Then, he thought back to Leafdapple, I wonder if Leafdapple has anyone special? Badgerpaw couldn't imagine her with a mate.
I'm sure if she tried, she would get one really fast. She is really pretty. Badgerpaw thought. He even started to think of what her mate would look ad act like, but Leafdapple walked out of the den. 
What took you so long, Leafdapple? Badgerpaw asked, playfully.

Leafdapple had just pushed her way out of the warriors den, fur still ruffled in some places from her lazy grooming, as her apprentice Badgerpaw walked up to her. Her jaws stretched wide for a yawn as the calico was still working on being fully awake when she heard his question. "I was up way too early today and decided to take a nap, I guess I overslept." she responded back. She would have been slightly annoyed if the question would have came from anyone but Badgerpaw, she didn't usually like cats poking their nose in her business, but for him, she made an exception.

    Badgerpaw found the answer reasonable. The large black and white cat began to the exit of camp. 

As he passed the fresh kill pile, the smell of the kill wavered past his nose and remind him of his hunger. 

He was tempted to grad a pump-looking squirrel he had his eye on, but a thought held him back: 

Have the kits and the queens eaten yet? I'm not allowed to eat yet, am I?
Then he turned to Leafdapple, his floppy ears bobbled as he jerked his head,
Can we go hunting today? I'm hungry, but I don't think the kits, queens, or elders have eaten yet since, most of the kits and queens seem to be sleeping. It will give time for them to wake up. And besides, I'm terrible at hunting. 

And also, Badgerpaw thought sneakily, It will give me an opportunity to find out personal things about Leafdapple!
Badgerpaw chuckled and flicked his tail happily.

Leafdapple's eyes flicked over towards the freshkill pile. It was beginning to run on the low side, for greenleaf at least. She gave a shrug, thinking to herself that most hungry cats would've awoken and eaten already, but she decided not to say anything against the apprentice. "Sure, if you'd like to." Though she was a bit suspicious of his motives, she figured a nice hunting session would wake her up, and take her mind off of the events of earlier that day.
