Ooc:// For Rye and Silver :3 Iffy posts are iffy ;-; ℓυиαя
It'd been forever since she'd last been here. The undergrowth had picked up quite a bit, long vines wrapping around the thunderpath in both directions, stretching as far as her eyes could see.
"You can't tell anyone I brought you out here, alright?"
"Not even mom?"
"Not even her."
It'd been over 35 moons since that day, and to this time she'd kept her uncle's request; she never once told her mom about the time Tigerface brought her out here to the abandoned path of the snake monsters, not even while she lay on her death bed. but now there was no reason to hide her presence here, there was no reason for her not to be here.
Back when she was younger and more naive she used to think of the first time she'd been brought here, how the path seemed to stretch on forever, endlessly in both directions, and she used to have dreams of following it to find out the places it lead beyond. but now she knew better.
Silverleaf knew that this path was not infinite and would eventually come to an end, and she also knew that it was not within her life's destiny to find out where this end was. She belonged to Leafclan, her heart belonged to Leafclan, her life belonged to Leafclan. It was all she'd ever known, and she'd been with it through it's roughest patches. When other members of the clan rebelled against the tyrant Silverstar, her loyalty remained undying to her home. And that was something that she held with utmost pride and confidence.
Sometimes though, in spite of knowing the foolishness of her kit-hood thoughts, she found herself wandering back on over here, sitting near the path. It had once been the center of all her imaginations, but now it seemed to be a pretty good place to clear out all her thoughts. Besides, barely anyone ever wandered this way; it was frowned upon by paranoid elders, and was just overall not highly recommended for safety purposes. So when wanting to get away from others, what better place was there to go. Maybe just this once she could get her request for alone time and some well deserved down time.
