Dewfeather stretched himself out, exposing his underbelly to the warm rays of the sun. During times that he deems relaxation he tends to sunbathe in the clan's camp; however, sometimes when the kits were out and about they would poke his belly or attempt to pounce him while they thought he was unaware. He would act for them, grumpily telling them to leave him alone and calling them obnoxious lil' kits. At one point it got old, but those kits just can't help but try to practice their moves on him.

Today was different, the kits were taking a much longer nap than usual and the camp was awfully quiet. There were of course some old croons gossiping in one corner and apprentices doing their duties as they passed by him every now and then, but something was off. He couldn't put his paw on it and decided to just let this unfamiliar feeling linger.

As he lazily rolled over and stood up, shaking the dry dirt off of his pelt easily. He padded his way to the kill pile, pawing through whatever was there. As much of a pushover as he is the apprentices would rarely talk viciously behind his back; however, they had their reasons and he understood why.

His awkwardness, low confidence, and having kept to himself they believe him to be stuck up and rather rude. He had a hard time approaching others because of how critical he assesses the situation that he's in. At one point he was very hard on those that attempted to make friends with him, but as time passed he learned to deal with his own feelings. He was being unreasonable at that time.

Snagging a vole as a small snack he made his way back to where he had been laying down, now scarfing down his small snack contentedly.

Fernsky pushed her way through the camp's entrance, her whiskers twitching while her jaw dangled a dead sparrow; its wings dragged along the ground while she walked, caking her paws with dust and dirt. Her pelt was slightly untidy, signifying that she had just been doing something rather physical. Dragging her kill to the prey pile, the newly made warrior delicately placed it toward the bottom of the pile to ensure that the older kill would be eaten first. When she released the bird a handful of feathers stuck to her mouth and the ginger she-cat made an attempt to shake them away.

She blinked and saw that the camp was quiet and empty. Patrols were likely out, as well as apprentices to train. She was not quite used to being a warrior and not having a mentor to tell her what to do every aspect of the day. Now that she provided some kill for the clan, what else should she be doing? Her greenish-yellow eyes rested on Dewfeather, perched in the camp's clearing eating something that looked like it could have been a vole before it was, well, eaten.

Fernsky padded over carefully and twitched her tail in greeting. "Hello, Dewfeather." she greeted the other, older warrior carefully. She was still unsure how to act around other warriors now that they were her battle-mates, and not other "non-official" mentors to respect and cater to. "How are you?"

He heard some other cat's presence as it made its way to the killpile, opening his closed eyes he realized who it was although he wasn't sure what she was doing since he just opened his eyes. It looked like she was just pushing the freshkills around, perhaps she was one of those cats. A bit peeved he rolled over. Hoping that the warrior wouldn't see him lest he be bothered by this she-cat. Today he was grumpy for some reason...perhaps it had to do with the heat or the sun, making him feel a bit parched and tired after eating as well.

Fernsky approached him, and before he knew it he was now involved in a conversation with her. Standing up on his legs he flicked his tail, "Hello Fernsky, I haven't really spoken to you since the day of your warrior ceremony." Technically he just congratulated her among the throng of other warriors, but still. Though he enjoyed making others laugh it seemed that his humor was lacking or at least the newly made warriors and apprentices...even the kits found it much more funnier to mess with him than listening to his crass jokes.

"What have you been up to?" he asked curiously.

ooc: I see. I tend to write a few sentences or one paragraph, but I should write more.
