Dead Willow

That was what rung in Stormflames ears as he stomped towards the tree. Before the day came, he should probably relax before being sent on tiring tasks. The most common he was sent for was border patrol, and boy did those get boring when no one came. Exasperated, the tom narrowed his eyes to see the tree as he got closer. 

The bright dawn light shone in his face, and he blinked rapidly. It was only a reminder that he would be a warrior for moons to come. Ginger tail swaying as he reached the gnarly roots, he stopped and his whiskers twitched. How nice it would be if he had someone to talk to. Someone to converse with, so his loneliness wouldn't bother him as much.

Squirellsong was walking towards the dead willow and saw Stormflame, the handsome tom. He lloked lonely and she decided to go see him. She didn't know what he was going to do and she didn't want to scare him away. She padded softly and stood a foot away fro Stormflame. Hello.

Stormflame was normally always on guard. but as it was his relax time, he had sat down and closed her firery green eyes. The green-cough outrage was surely a downer. It meant he had to be very various before he shared tongues with anyone. The Tom was probably going to fall asleep for a moment or two.

Stormflame suddenly jumped as he heard a voice, a she-cats voice. His green eyes narrowed as he looked for the cat who had woken him from his comfortable sleep. "Hi. Hello. I am Stormflame, the bravest warrior of all!" The tom joked around a little. He got himself into a standing position. "And what might your name be?" His voice was calm as he asked, for this was a good friend opportunity.

Squirellsong's tail rose higher at the tom's joking. My name is Squirellsong. I came out here to pray to Starclan, but if you are busy I can come back later of go somewhere else... It isn't urgent. Squirellsong bowed her head, waiting for Stormflame's reply. She had felt bad that he was sleeping when she greeted him. She turned to go back to camp.

Stormflame watched the she-cat with interest. Maybe they could have a nice conversation, as talking was something you could savor. He briskly licked his chest, embarrassed by jumping at the sudden surprise. His eyes looking over his frame, and finger fur, he smiled. Looking back up, his smile became a frown.

"Oh! Miss Squirrelsong! You can pray here, I wasn't busy. Just relaxing before morning duties, you know? but please stay! I would like to talk to you." Stormflame hated to beg, but he dearly wanted somebody to give him some company. His green eyes searched Squirrelsongs eyes, hopefully she would talk to him. but they could pray to Starclan about green cough, even though it was quite foolish. Nobody could help the sickness.

Miss? This tom continued to surprise her. He is a great tom. I disrupted him and he still accommodates me... wow! Squirellsong walked at sat next to Stormflame. Are you praying too?

She bowed her head and said her own prayer. Dear StarClan. Help my Clan stay safe during the sick times. Please, if it is in your will, bless me with kits so I may bring them into the world and show them the amazing life the Clan gives us. She lifted her head and looked at Stormflame.
