Bet You've Never Met Someone Like Me Before (NIXX)

OOC: NIXX YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I've been wanting to RP Sage all day. Sorry it took so long to get up.

Sage bounced along, grinning to herself. After all the pain she had endured with the rogues of Masked in Darkness, she was finally content with her life. It seemed as if nothing could go wrong now that Skunk had seemingly accepted the fact that she genuinely had wanted to be his mate. It had taken a couple of days, but he had accepted it. Because of this, she had decided to travel outside of Nature's Mystery's territory. She had wanted to do some exploring, and that required going to unfamiliar parts. So now she had absolutely no clue where she was and no care in the world as she bounced along.

Vixenstorm had yet again wondered away from the patrol she was supposed to be on. They had turned while she had just kept walking, talking about some breeze that had ruffled her fur, or something. She wasn't even sure anymore what she was talking about. The fact that she was now off on her own, also didn't bother her. It happened more often than not. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something moving, without a second thought she ran towards, within moments of moving she tripped over air and went toppling into the other cat. "Well, darn! Can't you just let me move without causing me to knock into people?!" VixenStorm hissed down at her feet before looking up with a smile. Her smile faltered a touch as she realized the cat she bumped into wasn't a member of her clan, "Oh, um... Hi?"

Sage had continued on, still thinking, when she ran into something. The force knocked her back, so she had fallen into a sitting position. She looked up at the cat who had bumped into her with surprise.

"Oh, um... Hi?"

She shook her head to knock her out of the daze. "Oh hi! I'm Sage! What's your name?"

What's your name?

Vixenstorm's whole face lit up after the new cat, Sage, spoke to her. "My names Vixenstorm. I live here." She explained flicking her extra fluffy tail behind her. "I don't mean to pry or anything...but you don't smell like my clan....So..." She let her question hang as she tried to fake a look of innocence at the ground.

She watched as the other she-cat's face lit up. Yay! That meant a friend! "Nice to meet you Vixenstorm, but where is here?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion. She wanted to know where she had wandered into. She wouldn't get in trouble would she?

"Oh no. I'm not from your clan. I'm a loner. I live in a group called Nature's Mystery. Our camp is a little ways away."

[NIXX]

Where is here? Vixenstorm titled her head to the side in confusion, before shrugging it off and deciding just to answer the other she-cat. "Sunset Clan!" She exclaimed jumping up into the air, and for once, landing nicely on her paws.

"Nature's Mystery?" Her eyes lit up yet again at the idea of the foreign name. VixenStorm knew she should stop talking to Sage and go back to camp. Tell them there was an outsider on their territory but she couldn't drag herself away. She was too curious and maybe she could get Intel. Yeah, that sounded like a good thing thing to say she was doing in case she got caught.

SunsetClan? She didn't think that she had ever been to SunsetClan territory. She had been to several of the other clans though. Either way, the other she-cat seemed excited. but if this really was Clan territory, maybe her seemingly new friend would go tell her clanmates about Sage being here. Then Skunk might get mad too. She cringed inwardly at that thought.

"Yes. Nature's Mystery. Our leader is a cat named Skunk. He's really smart and we're all a family! We don't cause trouble, but we like learning about the world around us." That sounded like a good explanation. And it didn't give any information.

She huffed, dropping onto the ground, rolling over onto her back she huffed yet again. "Boring," she mowed stretching out the word for what seemed like forever. "That's almost the same thing we do here. It sounds repetitive." She glanced up at Sage, flicking her red ears as she did so. She waited a second wondering if the she-cat would say anything else. After a moment of silence she snorted, "What about this... Skunk, right? What's he like?" Vixenstorm by now had forgotten she was even talking to an outsider and all the thoughts of getting in trouble had left her mind too.

Boring? She didn't think her life was boring. She frowned. It was kind of rude for Vixenstorm to say that though. She decided against saying something rude though. She didn't want to make this clan cat mad. "It really doesn't get too boring though." She mewed, making sure it didn't sound rude, but that it defended her home all the same.

And then she asked about Skunk. Should she tell her about the tom? She was a bit hesitant, but she began speaking anyways. "Well like I said before, he's really smart. He seems a bit serious on the outside, but when you get to know him, he's really funny. And he likes to play games." 'At least he plays with me.' She thought. Besides kits, she hoped she would be the only one who he played games with. Maybe that seemed selfish, but she didn't care.

"It gets really boring here." Vixenstorm stated as she sat up, shaking out her fur. "I'm not complaining though. I find ways to have fun! Like by wondering off on patrols and stuff. She sends a proud smile over at Sage. She didn't want the she-cat to think clan life sucked. It didn't, well not to Vixenstorm, she liked being close to others and all the duties she had. She just hated all the seriousness that surrounded it.

She listened closely to what Sage was saying about this Skunk character, he sounded like a cool cat. He played games, so he couldn't be that bad. "Wait a minute, you're leader plays games and tells jokes?" Vixenstorm asked to clarify, if so that was really the coolest cat she had ever heard of. She hadn't ever seen any of the leaders of the clan play let alone tell a joke.

"It gets really boring here."

Sage didn't know what to say about that. If life was so boring with all the rules, why didn't she just leave? Maybe she was afraid to. The small tabby was positive that Skunk would welcome this clan cat into their family.

"Yup!" She mewed proudly. She was glad that Vixenstorm had seemingly been stunned. "Like I said, we're a family. What father doesn't play with his family?" She asked, although she could think of several examples. All were from Masked in Darkness, buts she didn't like to think that.

"What father doesn't play with his family?"

Right after that sentence left Sage's mouth, Vixenstorm's whole demeanor changed. Her shoulders sunk down, the smile on her face disappeared and her tail wrapped around her front paws. She looked down at the ground, "My father didn't play with me. Her ears flattened for amount on the topic her head before, it seemed, she shook off the weird mood that had come over her. but, he got killed in some battle. He's a hero, according to the queen that raised me. Onc again, the smile was plastered onto the she-cats face.

Sage watched as her new friend's smile disappeared. Did she say something wrong? And then Vixenstorm explained why her mood had changed.

"My father didn't play with me."

Oh. So that's why she was sad. Sage had just assumed that every father was the same. Her father had played with her when she was a kit. Before she ran away anyways.

She listened intently as the SunsetClanner continued. Her father had died in battle? That was kind of sad, but if he was considered a hero then she had to be at least a little happy right? And then the smile was back, just as it was before she had mentioned fathers.

"How about your family?" The she-cat nosely asked, "I've only ever known how clan cats interact with family. How do loners act?

Loners and rogues were super interesting to VixenStorm the were so different. Anything different or new she absolutely adored, she liked to imagine herself being adventurous like those cats. Though she never would be, she had too much love for Sunset Clan. They were her family, they raised her when her parents couldn't. Without them, she'd be lost.

"My family? Well, it was only me and my mother and father. Every day though my father played games with me. And then I ran away. My father would only let me explore a little a ways from the den. I wasn't happy with that and so I soon found myself teaching myself to live alone. I had fun though." She mused thoughtfully. How were here parents? She hadn't seen them since she was thirteen moons. Were they even alive anymore?

"I honestly don't know how clan cats interact, but I would assume it is similar. You guys probably don't play as many games as I do, but your mothers and fathers teach you things important as well as any loner I know."
