OOC: Hello everyone!
Please read through all of Thrushstar's speech (in bold)! You are free make a thread where your cat approaches him in his den, if they want to talk ^^ Just tag me!
Also, note that cats who have been make apprentices in the July WhisperClan ceremonies are now eligible to become warriors, since more than a month will have passed.
REMINDER: If you have adopted a kitten from a litter, and made their application, it does not mean that they are eligible for apprentice ceremonies after their accepted application is two weeks old. The kitten also has to be born. This can be IC (with a birthing thread), or OOC (with the consent of the RPer of the mother, but with no birthing thread). I'm going to let it slide for this ceremony, but next time I will be double-checking with the RPer of the mother. This does not apply to kittens with NCP parents (meaning the parents are not real characters on AWRP). Feel free to ask questions if this (or anything else) is not explained clearly!
Cats receiving ceremonies:
The new ginger-and-white leader stepped out of his new den, his eyes squinted in the sunlight. Giving his Clan a sweep with his eyes, he made a circle around the clearing, checking up on the kits in the nursery and the elders in their den.
His mind still turned with the events of his own ceremony. He'd only gone out to try and talk to StarClan, to see if they were still there, but instead he got a huge surprise: he was to take Fangstar's place and become leader of WhisperClan. It was his dream, his goal. And his Clan needed him. How could he refuse?
Suddenly, he felt somewhat self-conscious. Could he do this without guidance? Would StarClan be willing to help him? Taking a deep breath, he felt the words catch in his throat, and awkwardly closed his jaws. He knew warriors had started to notice Fangstar missing, but what if Thrushstar told them that he left the previous night still as Thrushleap, and come back as Thrushstar? Would they accept the fact that Fangstar was gone, and that he was the new leader? I can do this. I've done it before.
"Let all those old enough to run with the wind join me for a Clan meeting!" he yowled, sitting down on the edge of the clearing. Pride welled up in him as he watched his Clanmates congregate around him. "I have an announcement to make," he began in a grave voice, looking solemn. "Last night, as some of you might've noticed, I traveled to the Skyfield again in another attempt to communicate with StarClan. And they did come to me... with nine lives. As you also might have noticed, Fangstar has disappeared. I do not know where he is, and neither does StarClan. It seems that he has traveled out of boundaries. And so I step forward as your new leader, Thrushstar.
"I cannot say for sure that Fangstar is dead. However, we will be holding a memory vigil for him tonight. Please take a moment to remember him and all the wonderful things he's done for this Clan. Times are hard now, but we have a few ceremonies to look forward to. We will begin with the warrior ceremonies. These apprentices have all trained extremely hard, and deserve their individual names. A special thanks to all their mentors for working with them the entire time.
"Buzzardpaw (Lionhearted), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Buzzardheart. WhisperClan honors your bravery and hunting skills, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Lizardpaw (Isilme), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Lizardstrike. WhisperClan honors your skill in both fighting and running, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Wishpaw (Islime), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Wishbreeze. WhisperClan honors your speed and patience, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Riverpaw (Islime), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Riverfox. WhisperClan honors your intelligence and skills in hunting, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Shimmerpaw (Islime), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Shimmerflight. WhisperClan honors your gracefulness and agility, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Blizzardpaw (Ambrose), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Blizzardwolf. WhisperClan honors your courageousness and leadership skills, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"Adderpaw (Ambrose), step forward. You have completed your training. By the powers of StarClan, I name you Adderpounce. WhisperClan honors your loyalty and skills in hunting, and welcomes you as a full warrior.
"And now," said Thrushstar, pausing to take a breath, "onto the apprentice ceremonies. I understand that these kits are starting their training at a hard time, and I hope that even through the coldness you will work hard to earn your warrior names, and toughen this leafbare out. I have faith in all of you.
"Driftkit (@iamrae), you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to begin your warrior training. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Driftpaw. Whisperstrike (Isilme), you are a dedicated warrior, and I hope you can pass down your skills unto Driftpaw.
"Sandykit (Asher), you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to begin your warrior training. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sandypaw. Foxclaw (Icestorm), you are a dedicated warrior, and I hope you can pass down your skills unto Sandypaw." Thrushstar stopped for a moment, hesitating in his choice. Sandypaw had just come back with the group that had left to escape the greencough, and thus her ceremony had been delayed... was it really wise to have Foxclaw push her back into the Clan ways? Was Foxclaw really up to teaching Sandypaw the right way to be a warrior, or was he going to lead her deeper down the wrong path by telling her to be more "authentic"? Foxclaw is a talented warrior, no doubt. I know he's not dumb. If I start to notice things going on, I'll talk to him, and he probably will know that. Plus, Sandypaw going with those cats make her plenty independent already. I'll give both of them a chance.
"Mintkit (Asher), you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to begin your warrior training. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mintpaw. Echowhisker (@lilykit), you are a dedicated warrior, and I hope you can pass down your skills unto Mintpaw.
"Fawnkit (Phantomspirit), you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to begin your warrior training. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Fawnpaw. Darksun (Isilme), you are a dedicated warrior, and I hope you can pass down your skills unto Fawnpaw.
"Owlkit (Islime), you have reached the age of six moons, and are ready to begin your warrior training. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Owlpaw. Adderstep (Falcon), you are a dedicated warrior, and I hope you can pass down your skills unto Owlpaw."
With the ceremonies finished, Thrushstar sat back down, not noticing he'd stood up at all. "And now, I must make an important announcement. I have met with StarClan twice in the last moon. I must tell you that the first time I did not see them. Instead, I saw Silverstar." Gasps could be heard, but he pushed on, raising his voice just a little, signalling for the cats to be quiet. He had more to say. "I will not tell you what she has said. However, as I have told you, the second time they did come to me, and gave me my lives and name. Why they did not come the first time, I cannot say. but this has told me something, and I wish to share it all to you." Should I really tell all of them? They're my Clanmates, but they're their own individual spirits, too. Everything I've witnessed and experienced has lead me to believe this.
"We may be followers and believers of StarClan, but we cannot be too dependent upon them. StarClan does not have complete control over what we do, and what our destiny is or will be. Fangstar has disappeared, and StarClan has no knowledge of his whereabouts. They cannot fully grasp everything in the living world, and therefore, we must not depend too much on something that does not have the power to do so, nor should we depend too much on anything or anyone else. We are the ones that are part of the living world, and we will live our lives as we see fit. I am your leader, yes, but I am more your Clanmate. You look to me for guidance, and we all look for StarClan for more guidance. but no one is perfect, and so we must ultimately make decisions by ourselves, and only ourselves. Unexpected things will occur, and they will happen, and we can only accept that fact. It is not the 'will of StarClan.' It is just the way things are. Everyone comes and goes, events come and go. but new things grow, and deceased cats will live on through their kin. It's the cycle of life. It's a cycle that never ends, and we, as part of the cycle, must contribute to it; we must help it move along.
"This greencough was unexpected, and it hit us when we were the weakest. but leafbare is not there so you can suffer for the three moons. It is here to teach us to be stronger. Everything has a good and bad, and we must see the good, and let go of the bad. If we can push through this leafbare, we can relax in newleaf and greenleaf. Look forward to another Gathering. Look forward to growing up, and retiring as an elder. Find something to live for. There's a lot of things in this world. I require everyone to be a credit to the Clan, and to the cycle. The more you connect yourself more to the Clan and the cycle, the more you connect your individual spirit to the rest of us, the better you will live, and the better you will support everyone and everything else. Everyone is here for a reason. No one's life should be dull. If it is, you're not connecting yourself. You're not living enough. We must stay strong through these times, and we will pull through if everyone helps themselves and each other. Be loyal to the Clan. Be loyal to each other. And most importantly, be loyal to yourself. Stay strong! We are WhisperClan." He thumped his paw onto the meadow grass at the last word, giving a hard, challenging glare to the entire Clan. His eyes roved through his Clanmates, and landed briefly on Frostberry, who looked impassive. His gaze switched over to Foxclaw. Do you agree with what I'm saying?
"Think about what I have just said. A final congratulations to all the new apprentices and warriors. I will never tire of saying this-- work hard. This meeting has come to an end. For questions, please see me." And with a flick of his tail, Thrushstar signaled to dismiss the Clan.
That was almost all of what Thrushstar was mulling over the past month. There is a lot of information/thoughts he wanted to share, especially his feelings about StarClan after his unfortunate meeting with Silverstar. You are free to have cats approach him with questions, comments, or concerns!
OOC (please read):
Lastly, don't forget to post if your cat can take an apprentice here! I will be updating the mentors list after each ceremony, so you do not need to worry about posting that your cat can take one less apprentice each time. Also, click on the Actual List link above (in spoiler) and post your cat's name there to place a reservation! :3 Thank you!

If I have made a mistake on anyone's ceremony, please PM and tell me so! This includes a cat getting more than two apprentices, duplicated names (I have checked on the Actual List of All Cats, but if you know of a cat who has the same warrior name, then I will change it), or anything else. This does not include typos of words in the thread.
Lastly, don't forget to post if your cat can take an apprentice here!
