Cherryfall woke up and scrambled to her paws, inmediatly felt a pain on her back. Her fur bristled and her head turned quickly. There was a thorn nailed on her fur and it hurted a lot. She tried to grab it with her teeth but couldn't touch her back.

Flamestep was already awake by the time Cherryfall woke up. He hadn't been up for too long. He was grooming his fur when he heard the rustling of the black and white she-cat. Looking over, the ginger tom let out an amused purr. "Here." He meowed, padding over and pulling out the thorn. He spat it out over where there weren't any nests, and then cocked his head. "Better?"

Cherryspot´s pain disappeared and turned her head smiling very cheerful gazing the tom "Good at hunting and healing" She purred thankfully, then, sat still gazing Flamestep with lovely eyes. He was really smart and always helped her, she also liked his ginger fur, it looked... handsome on his body.

"Thank you." Flamestep meowed, dipping his head. Then he looked outside of the camp. Snow was still covering the ground, making it shine with white light. He looked back at Cherryfall. "What are you planning on doing today?" He asked, sitting down. He didn't have any plans for himself in mind, and it could be fun to do something with the black and white she-cat. He was starting to see her as a friend.

Cherryfall stare at the tom thinking. She had planned go for a walk a lone and think about her concerns but she was sure it would be better with Flamestep, maybe she couldn't think with him there but she wanted to know him better. "I was thinking to go for a walk" The she-cat explained "You can come with me" She meowed shifting her paws nervously.

Flamestep gave a nonchalant shrug. "Alright, sounds good." He stood up again, and shook his fur. He didn't feel particularly hungry, so he could skip having prey before they set out. Besides, if he didn't eat prey that meant there would be more for those who truly needed it, like the kits and queens and elders. "Shall we?" He asked, beginning to pad toward the entrance.

Cherryfall nodded then wondering if Flamestep felt like going for a walk right now "I don't see you convinced of doing this" She explained stopping near the entrance and first gazing the tom, then, she gazed away to the camp waiting for an answer. He probably has a better idea but the she-cat felt a little hurted of how Flamestep reacted.

Flamestep shook his head. "No, it's fine. This is a brilliant idea. And I have no others." He added, and nudged Cherryfall's shoulder in an attempt to cheer her up. "Let us go." He meowed, and began padding out of the camp. He walked a little slowly so he could admire the scenery, and also so the black and white she-cat could catch up.

Cherryfall padded quickly until she catched him up and her tail stopped twitching annoyed. She was dumb when she thought Flamestep was angry or didn´t like the idea of going for a walk. In the trees covered by snow there where some skinny small birds what reminded her the leaf bare "It is a hard season, isn´t it?" Cherryfall muttered.

Flamestep nodded grimly. "Yes. This is the worst leafbare that's happened ever since I was born, in fact." The ginger tom shook his fur. He didn't really like being in the snow; his ginger fur stuck out more than it ever did before. Leaf-fall was probably his favorite season, because he could blend in with the colors of the changing leaves. Besides, it was rather pretty with all the colorful colors.

Cherryfall saw how Flamestep shook his fur and, in the distance, heard a low sound, like a shriek. Cherryfall thought the sound was coming from above her so she gazed the trees, too late, a branch was going to hit her. A pain on her shoulder and then, darkness around her eyes... She was unconscious with the branch on top of her body.

Flamestep stiffened as he heard the ominous noise. He recognized that noise; it meant a tree branch was drooping down, probably from the weight of the snow. He opened his mouth, about to warn Cherryfall, but then he heard a thump and turned around in a panic, seeing the white and black she-cat fall to the ground, unconscious. "Cherryfall!" He meowed, feeling panicked. He did not want his new friend to fall unconscious in the snow. He bit her scruff and hauled her out of the snow and under a tree with wide branches. He set her down there because there was no snow, so she wouldn't be too cold. He started licking her fur the wrong way so that she would stay warm. Looking around, he thought about what would help. I should hunt. He thought, and slid away from her, smelling the air.

Cherryfall wasn´t unconscious anymore though she couldn´t see, move or talk. She saw, in the distance, a ginger spot moving in the snow and wanted to ask if it was Flamestep but nothing came out. She closed her eyes one more time feeling to sick to keep scanning the place.

After several moments, Flamestep came padding back to where Cherryfall was, a squirrel in his mouth. He knew that a hunting patrol eating the prey they caught is against the rules, but this was important. Once he made it back to the tree, he placed the squirrel in front of her. "You may feast upon it." He meowed with a smile.

Cherryfall opened her mouth feeling the prey sent filling her. When she opened one of her eyes so crearly Flamestep standing in front of her, when she saw he was smiling she smiled too. Cherryfall tried to eat some of the prey and then, she opened her two eyes.

She had eaten the prey and the warrior could see some bites and teeth marks on it. The she-cat lifted her head and saw Flamestep sti there "Thanks for saving my life" The warrior purred staying where she was.
