Ashfrost pushed his way out of the warriors' den, the early morning sunlight dappling his long grey-spotted fur. The snow beneath his paws crackled as he walked, and he held in the disgruntled sigh that rose in his throat. This was going to be an awful day to try hunting lessons with his new apprentice, Buzzardpaw, but since leafbare had only just begun, he didn't really have much of a choice. He could only hope that the area he planned to take the young apprentice to wasn't completely devoid of prey. Lot of good that would do, he thought to himself as he halted outside the apprentices' den. Kinda difficult to teach hunting when there's no prey to hunt. "Buzzardpaw!" he called into the den. "Wake up! It's time to learn!" A frigid wind blew through the camp as he waited for his apprentice, and he was suddenly thankful for his thick fur.
