Why can't I be a warrior? (Falcon, OPEN)

Fangpaw walked sleepily around the camp. Most of the cats were already up, and she even bumped into a few of them. "Sorry..." She sleepily mumbled. As she looked across the camp, she saw Adderstep.

Hey, Adderstep, want to go hunting today? She thought happily. Since late kit life, they had know the had a special bond. For that reason they had been nearly inseparable.

However, since Fangpaw had fell ill near the time of becoming an apprentice, she remained Fangkit for a few moons after her siblings had become apprentices. For that reason, They are now all warriors while she is still an apprentice.

As she trotted over to Adderstep, she awaited a reply.

Sure any place you want to go? Adderstep stretched looking around before he spotted his long tooth sibling, her own facial deformity almost like his, not that he really noticed it much Might not find much but hopefully leafbare will be over soon he added with an awkward grin toward her

[Nepeta]

Fangpaw stopped as she reached Adderstep, then speaking aloud. "No, not really any place in particular." She thought for a moment. "I was just thinking we could go wherever we felt like there was prey... That always seems to work out for me." She smiled back at him. "Hopefully we can catch some things. Maybe if we go where its warm, with maybe some water..." She let her voice trail off, goin into deep though. Shaking her head as if to come back to reality, she spoke up again. "Well, are you ready to go?"

Adderstep nodded "yeah lets go" he bound eagerly out of the camp, though slow enough that his sister would be able to keep up, he wasn't sure if she was quite over her sickness completely despite becoming an apprentice and he didn't want to stress her body out while she was recovering

[Nepeta]

Fangpaw bounded slowly behind. Sure, her body ached every now and then, and yeah she caught colds easily, but she was totally fine. Totally.

As they got far enough away from camp where the smell of cats faded, Fangpaw lifted her nose and searched the air with concentration. Nothing. she though. Maybe try west? she thought to Adderstep. She had thought she had caught the scent of other cats, but it could have been her imagination. Or a patrol. Either way, there was no prey in the area.

[Falcon]

Adderstep nodded Sounds like a plan, just let me know if you get tired, we can take a break then he smiled, well as best as he could anyway and started west, he to had smelled the cats on the breeze that she had, but he figured it was just a patrol and hoped that there wouldn't be a scuffle or anything, this was not the season for fighting

Fangpaw headed west, stopping ever few meters to sniff the air. After about ten minutes, she finally caught the smell of something.

See, te good thing about telepathic abilities is that you cant scare prey with your voices. Mouse, She thought. Twelve o'clock, I think... You or me? She asked Adderstep. She kept sniffing the air, making sure it wasn't moving.

You get it, I'll go around in case it tries to flee Adderstep stalked into position trying to move as silently as possible so that he wouldn't scare the prey away before Fangpaw got the chance to try and get it, he knew that catching the prey would mean a lot to her, give how bummed she had been about not getting her warrior name yet

[Nepeta]

Fangpaw's determination shown in her eyes as she squinted them, locking in on her prey's location. She creeped closer, careful not to step on anything that could make a large sound.

She leaped in the air, the blood pulsing through her ears. As she came down, she felt the prey nearly slipping out from under her paws. She quickly pushed down on it, making sure it was secure before she bit its neck in order to kill it.

Yes! Did you see that Adderstep? I cant believe it! That was amazing! She thought. She was barely able to control her excitement, but thought it was probably best to be quiet in order not to scare away any prey that may be in the area. She clenched the mouse in her jaws and bounded over to Adderstep. And no pain to boot! She though excitedly.

You did a wonderful job Adderstep padded over with a bright smile you know what? Adderstep straightened his spine a little You're going to be made a warrior in no time I'm sure he nuzzled her softly purring hard You'll be a warrior to me either way...Fangheart, a warrior whose heart is strong enough to fight even the toughest of battles

Fangpaw looked up to her brother, eyes wide. She made a triumphant pose and smiled brightly. "Fangheart! That's perfect, Adderstep!" She shouted. And thank you... she added in thought. Thank you so much, Adderstep. She nuzzled him affectionately and turned to bury her mouse. Now where shall we go? She asked the tom, eyes full of adventure.

where ever you want to go you're the warrior today Adderstep grinned as best as his twisted jaw would allow and stepped back to allow Fangheart to take the lead on their hunt his eyes bright even if his grin was twisted into a grimace, she needed this more then he did, and the warrior would easily and willingly step aside if it meant giving his sister the confidence she needed
