Waking up in the pit of despair $$ closed

Thundering paws gave away the dog as it raced along. Paws thumping the earth. In its jaws, a apprentice sized female. The black lump, save for the white of her paws, muzzle, and tail tip, was limp in the jaws of death. The female, bleeding from many wounds from the dog bites, seemed to have given up. Until, suddenly, with what little strength she could muster, she twisted and slashed the canines eyes. It howled and dropped her. Shaking it's head as it did so. She, struggling to breath, turned tail and raced away. Paws carrying her to a shrub. There, she collapsed under the bush and closed her eyes. 

All she she could do now was hope someone found her. Someone that wasn't that house pet gone feral. She heard Thornbriar mocking her, and Oakpaw looking for her to train. All in her head, she knew this, but she was still bothered by it. "Help.." She finally choked out the one word she hoped reached someone. The Talonclan warrior shivered as she thought of what may come.

The large warrior moved with grace. He was deadly anyone could see that, amber eyes that seemed to see into another soul. There were scars on his short rich brown pelt. Some would actually say he would be handsome if he didn't wear the glare all the time. His face was in a permeant frown, the smile the love only coming out for one. He but nobody else saw the kindness in him like she did. He didn't want to let anyone else know he had a weakness. As the large tom padded across the sandy ground he looked around at the territory. His large paw leaving a path that was easy to follow. Stopping the tom hit the scent of something that he was very familiar with.

Blood.

It was fresh, he just swung his head in the direction it was from. The large tom took off in that direction his eyes seemed to have a slight spark to them. He wanted to join in the action, but when he notice there was no yowls or any sound of fighting. He just slowed down a bit. Stepping forward his white paw stepped in something. It was wet, thick and lifting up his paw he saw the blood that stained his pure white paw red. Sniffing it he just narrowed his amber eyes. Then he looked down. There was the scent of dog along with the scent of blood. He just set down his paw and moved forward. He wasn't afraid of any dog. He wasn't afraid of anything, well except maybe loosing his love. but he pushed that though aside. He just then noticed as the blood scent got stronger he notice that the dog scent was getting less apparent. He just then looked around he knew he was close. Thats when he looked as saw black form in near by.

His paw steps were silent as he approached the cat. He just then heard the croak of help. Let me just put her out of her misery. Make sure that that plead for help is louder. His mind sang to him. but he stood over the she-cat reaching down with a white claw extended he took the cats chin and turned it towards him. He looked at the she-cat's face. It felt himself relax a bit because it wasn't her. He then notice that he didn't recognize the she-cat at all. His expression blank he leaned down and sniffed her pelt. Thats when he raised an eyebrow. The scent was Talonclan. That was a long ways from here. So they wouldn't notice if she was dead would they. He just pressed his white paw down on her neck. A smirk appearing on his face. Digging his claws into the she-cats neck he was ready to finish it. He watched as the blood started seeping on his white fur. STOP! They will never trust you if you kill this cat. He pulled his claws off the black she-cat. His amber eyes still glittering with the rush of the blood that he cause to spill from her. He knew that he needed the leader and the deputy to trust him and he knew with Thornfrost in his way he would have to get on the white and gray's tom's side. This would be perfect way to do it. He just then said in a clear voice to the she-cat "You better thank Starclan little one."

Antfern let her eyes close as she lay there. She was near death, and she knew it. The black female opened her eyes to try and keep herself awake. That was when she noticed the scent of a warrior. Her eyes fell to her blood covered white paws. Well, they are Crimson now. She didn't have a clue who was coming, much less what to do now. Hope was all she had.

Then, his claws entered her flesh and all hope was gone. She looked up at him, thinking he was sure to kill her. Then, he seemed to decide against it. His paw leaving her neck, she shivered and looked right at him. Eyes faint and oddly grateful. "T..that hurt.." She choked out the words with a faint sign of amusement. It was short lived as she coughed and spammed. A bit of blood splattering the sands. She was worse off than she thought.

The large warrior just looked down at the pretty much dead cat. Even now he fought the urge to kill her, it wasn't against the warrior code to kill another warrior. He actually didn't have to help her either. She clearly wasn't a kit. Whitehare just then growled with himself. He didn't really know what the best option would be. He needed to think on what would be best for his clan. His clan It would be his some day, then all the other clans would shutter in fear even by the sound of his name. He knew if this warrior was in mint condition battling with it would have been something that was understandable. but this cat was dead if he didn't take her to a medicine cat. He couldn't let the clan know that he would just leave someone to just die. He wondered slightly on what she would do. but even with that thought he knew that she would have just killed the she-cat. but if he wanted a great future and the trust of Vineheart and Ratstar he couldn't do what she would do. Does that make me weak? He asked himself, conflicted with what was going on here. He just sniffed the air. Plus he should probably find out where that dog whet as well. Because thats was a good warrior would do.

A faint voice brought him back from his conflicting personality and actions. He just frowned at the cat. He should have killed her for just saying that. but the large warrior just snorted at her. It was more in disgust than anything. If she was in mint condition he hoped that she would be afraid of him the next time they encountered each other. He just then leaned down. His teeth sunk in her the scruff of her neck and he lifted the cat up. She was light which he predicted with her body size. Thats when he twisted his head and got his shoulder under most of her body hosting her up he tried to settle her on his shoulders. Once he felt like she was secure the large warrior headed back to camp. He would have to bring her to Mintpaw. Who probably wouldn't like this at all he would also have to explain to Vineheart and probably Thornfrost that suck up know it all. but he hoped that it would get the other tom off of his back for the time being. He would also have to get Vineheart to organize something about the dog. By the wounds on her she was clearly attacked. It had dropped her here, so that would mean theres a dog out there that had tasted cat's blood.

Moving forward at a lower pace one that he usually never went even with his old apprentice Firetooth. He felt like he was moving at turtle speed. but he felt the blood coming off of the she-cat it was dripping on his fur. He didn't mind, it only fired the reason why he was doing this. The large warrior kept moving along heading for camp. He didn't exactly know if he was going to run into anyone on the way back if he did they would just know sooner than the rest of the clan.

Antfern looked up at him with worry in her green optics. Was he deciding what to do with her? It felt like looking up at her old mentor. Gorse. Was he as heartless as that rouge? Would he kill her like he would have? She felt his teeth enter her scruff and snapped back from her own mind. Eyes wide for a moment p. Yet, she just let him haul her up onto his back. Was he taking her to a medicine cat? Stars she hoped so. She just wanted to be okay again.Her eyes closed and she dangled there. She decided to thank this male. but when she opened her mouth, nothing came out. She would have to thank him when she had the strength to speak.
