An {Apple} in the [Yellow] Grass

The newleaf sun shone with a warmth that hadn't been felt in Whisperclan for many moons, coaxing prey and predator alike out of their dens. One warrior, a ginger tabby she-cat with white paws left her nest and stretched carefully. With a yawn, she padded out of the Warriors' Den and stopped by the Apprentices' Den. Applestrike knew she wouldn't be able to remain a warrior for much longer, but she had an apprentice to train. The young she-cat felt an obligation to teach Yellowpaw as much as she could before she had to move into the Nursery.

Glancing at the early morning sky, Applestrike stuck her head in the den, looking for her apprentice. Blinking her golden eyes to adjust to the change in light, she spotted the young cat Thrushstar had asked her to train. "Yellowpaw!" she called. "Meet me outside; I'll go over some hunting techniques with you today."

The tom was please to feel the warmth of the sun once again, as always, he had woke up early so he could observe the cats around the clan, there was always something usefull to learn from seeing their interactions, the weather of newleaf made it all even more confortable for the young apprentice, his short fur had been a problem this last leafbare but there was nothing he could do about this particular problem, he watched the clan starting to rise and it was strangely nostalgic as if he was a outsider watching everything from far away, a particular ginger form caught his attention as it approached the apprentices den, was it Applestrike? He got closer hoping to find out and sure enough, the she cat called his name, the male finished his approach stopping right beside here. "I´m already outside." He said amused looking to the female. "Hunting sounds good too, just lead the way." Yellowpaw said and waited to follow the warrior to wherever she wished to go.
