Tumblepaw awoke quite early for an apprentice who was just starting his training and truth be told the new apprentice had trouble going to sleep the night prior. He'd been too excited to actually sleep, but somehow he'd managed to shut his eyes for a little while. Now that it was morning the short apprentice practically hopped out of his nest. Most of the apprentices around him were sound asleep and the gray and white tabby tom practically stepped all over them trying to reach the den, leaving a few annoyed and rudely awakened apprentices in his wake. "S-Sorry. Excuse me," he whispered to anyone he bumped into before finally padding out of the den entrance. His tail was raised high and he glanced around excitedly wondering if his mentor had awakened yet.

Heronsplash slept peacefully in the warriors den surrounded by his clanmates. His plush fur had returned its usual glimmer the sickness which had nearly taken him during leafbare completely erased from his body. He no longer looked frail and weak but sturdy and healthy once more. The most apparent sign of his health were his eyes which slowly blinked open in the wee hours of the morning. They were no longer dull but filled with their normal vivid shine. Yawning loudly Heronsplash slowly sits up attempting to tame the fur which had gotten out of place during the night. Midway through however he remembers something most exciting. He had a new apprentice by the name of Tumblepaw. Eager the young warrior pushed himself to his sturdy white paws and hustled to the warrior den exit.

As he exited he noticed the young tom who he'd been assigned to train doing the same. " Top of the morning to ya!" He calls in his normal jovial tone his gaze shining a purr escaping his throat. Beckoning the tom closer with his tail he beams down at the youngster. " C'mon we need to eat before we go out for you first lesson." Turning about he bustled off to the fresh kill pile nearly as excited as his apprentice.

Tumblepaw's ears pricked and his dark-green eyes brightened excitedly as he spotted his mentor, Heronsplash. Not being able to contain his excitement the apprentice bounded over to the older tom, practically tripping over his paws. "Morning!" he said excitedly, sounding a tad bit too loud for the early morning. The young tom hadn't realized that he felt hungry until the warrior mentioned it. He nodded in agreement and followed his mentor to the fresh kill pile. His tail twitched to and fro in excitement as he wondered what they would start with for his training. He searched the pile for a moment for his favorite food and finally managed to pull out a fish for breakfast.

Heronsplash had chuckled happily at Tumblepaw's over enthusiasm, remembering his first day as an apprentice. Turning to walk to the fresh kill pile he was pleased when the younger tom followed suit. " Once we eat I'll show you all the borders and the best places to swim." He says his tail flickering happily. " Maybe if we have time I can give you a swimming lesson." He adds eyes glittering at the thought of water. Heronsplash loved to swim, almost more than he loved anything else. " Sound good?" He asks digging a silver fish from the pile to eat. Turning he sat with a soft thump on the ground and started to eat.

Tumblepaw's eyes brightened as his mentor told him what they would be doing today. He seemed to nod enthusiastically as his mentor asked him if what he'd planned for today sounded good. He couldn't wait to to see what was outside of camp and of course the young apprentice was excited about seeing the Sea. He'd only heard about it from the other warriors and apprentices, now he'd be able to see it for himself. The young apprentice began eating himself, almost wolfing down the whole fish but he forced himself to slow down knowing he wouldn't want to get sick his first day.
