The [Tiger] and the [Lily] ((Dyzzie))

The tabby tom crept slowly through Midnightclan territory, the dappled sunlight turning his dark pelt into a shade of golden. A pair of amber eyes searched the undergrowth. What was he searching for? Nothing in particular. He was so focused on where he was going that at first he didn't realize where he was. In front of him lay a pool of shallow water, surrounded by boulders and twisted tree roots. He watched as small flickering silver shapes darted to the sides as his white paws dipped in the shallows. A shiver ran down his spine as the water lapped gently at his toes. Even though he was born a Sunsetclan cat, he had never liked the feel of water. Despite the fact that he lived by a waterfall. Tiger backed out of the water and sat on an arching root nearby. What if I had stayed in Sunsetclan? Would I like swimming then? He wandered over to a boulder that jutted out over the edge of the pond. Looking back up at him was a pair of amber eyes and a ruffled tabby pelt. Who would I be if Ashlight had never told me the truth? Maybe then I would be an actual warrior...

[Dyzzie]

Lilypaw moved through the familiar territory of Midnightclan with ease, her body instinctively knowing where to go, her paws knowing where to step, her tail knowing when to be flagged, when to lay low. Not a branch touched her hide, not a limb reached out to thunk her tail, not a root attempted to trip her. She was mistress of her domain, she was her own champion, her own mentor, her own apprentice, her own cat . . . and damn if she wasn't bored. Not a single familiar face. She was half hoping to run into someone - anyone familiar . . . but nothing. So instead she continued to walk along, before pausing at a sudden scent that cut through the land. Both familiar. And unfamiliar . . . and . . . . it stirred up memories. Memories of a brother she hadn't known she had until he'd attempted to join Midnightclan, and instantly her eyes narrowed.

The fawn tabby made her way through the surrounding land -- heading to where her brother's scent grew strongest, and pausing at the sight of him, before the spotted tabby stepped out of the brush - away from the trees - into view, "You're trespassing on Midnightclan Territory, again . . . . . Brother." She called out, eyes narrowed in distrust, distaste. She didn't really know the tom who was her brother, didn't know anything about him. What she did know was he wasn't clan . . . and for what ever reason, he was back on her clan territory, "Why are you here?" She added, approaching closer, her tail bristling slightly and her ears almost pinning back.

He spun around as he heard a familiar voice. There was a cat. One who had rejected him, along with the rest of his family. Lilypaw. "I can go wherever I want. And nothing can stop me". He stood up and stretched casually, not wanting the fawn tabby to realise how discomforted he was by her appearance. The last time he had been here, he had almost killed Adderstripe and taken Primrose and Adder. Does she know it was me? He shook his head. Of course she knows. Don't be such a mouse brain. 

He padded towards her, trying to look as happy as he could. "How are you little sis? I haven't seen you in so long, " he mewed, winding round her, "When was the last time... Oh right, I remember. When you rejected me in front of the whole clan". The last words ended in a snarl as he glared at her, ears flat. She has no right to be here. Even if this is her territory. It should of been mine.

The female stood tall, ears half back, tail bristled and held up in dominance as she eyed her brother, watching him with almost glaring eyes, "You are foolish to believe nothing can stop you." She hissed, shifting her legs a bit wider, a more solid stance, not sure what to expect from this . . . touching reunion. She watched her brother as he stood, making his way towards her, asking her how she was, how he hasn't seen her in so long, "Should have been longer." She grumbled, watching him cautiously, as he winded on her, snarling and ears flat, calling her out on their last reunion. She looked disinterested, even as her tail slashed through the air violently, "Frankly, it was father who really rejected you when he decided not to bring you to Midnightclan. I was merely supporting his plan." She growled back at him, her head holding high, "You weren't raised in Midnightclan, and when you came to ask for admittance - you were denied. You shouldn't be here." She growled, eyeing him, "So, why are you here, Tiger."

How dare she? His father didn't even show up then. He was off snoozing or hunting peacefully with his clanmates whilst his son was denied a chance to get to know him. "When he decided not to bring me to Midnightclan? Do you even know what happened on that night? He didn't decide anything! Shimmerfrost begged him not to take you". but he still killed her. He looked her in the eye, his tail lashing as she questioned him. Why should he tell her? but something was tugging a reply out of him. Maybe it was the fact that he wanted to get back at his sister. Or that he had all the time in the world. "I just wanted to know how everything was going in my favourite clan. How's Adderstripe? Has he healed after I shredded him?"

[Dyzzie]

The female almost seemed to smirk at the tom, breaking it off as their father's fault that Tiger's life hadn't gone according to his apparent plan - and to Lilypaw, that kinda was the way she saw it. "Honestly, I could care less what happened that night. I'm in Midnightclan, and was raised to be loyal too it. Perhaps you should have remained loyal to the clan that raised you." She responded coolly, flicking her tail as she glared at the male. She didn't want to hear the horror stories of how the small family got separated. She didn't want to hear anything about what had happened that night. It was in the past and had nothing to do with her. Lilypaw glared at her brother, "Really, favorite clan. I don't think it's fit that you get to know anything about us." She responded airly, refusing to give him the information he asked for, before taking a threatening step forward, "So dear brother, I think it's time you leave Midnightclan, and don't return." She added.

He smiled at her. She would never understand. "Oh dear sister, I was never raised by any clan. By the time I was six moons old I was hunting for myself. That's hardly fair now, is it? I didn't even have my apprentice name..." Suddenly, an image was brought into his mind. Him and his sisters were sitting by a bush as their mother lay before them, her fur coated in blood and Adderstripe standing over them, teeth glinting. He shuddered as the nightmare that used to always haunt him returned. That vivid image was what had started all of this. It used to be no more than but in a second he was back to his normal self. "And who's going to make me leave? Not you I suppose?" He glanced up at her with big eyes, his white tipped tail curled around his paws. "You wouldn't hurt your little brother?"

The female smiled darkly, "Never got your apprentice name, must make you feel pretty worthless, huh, brother." She commented coldly, her tail lashing behind her, "Does that mean I should be calling you Tigerkit." She asked coldly, her eyes glinting, trying to rile him up, as she hissed at him, watching him, "If I have to make you leave, I will." She stated, her eyes growing hard, cold, distant, "You're not part of Midnightclan, so it's time for you to leave." Her gaze shifted, her posture one resembling a prep for a lunge, "If I have to hurt you, little brother, then I will."

My name. Is not. Tigerkit. He could barely keep himself from lashing out at her there and then. No one calls me Tigerkit and gets away with it! The last cat who had called him Tigerkit was Willowbranch. And she'd better look out because he was coming for her. "I guess that you couldn't call me that, because... Let me see... Oh yes. I'm old enough to be a warrior!" His eyes darkened as they lay upon the pond. I might just be able to use that... Looking back at her, he ignored the hiss and crouched down. "You can't make me do anything. Sorry to rain on your parade, but you're not in charge of me". He watched as her gaze shifted. Almost time Tiger... Wait your time... At one last attempt to wind her up, he lashed out with: "How come you don't have your warrior name yet? Surely the fabulous Lilypaw is good enough to be a warrior? I'm surprised that Bramblestar hasn't made you deputy yet"

The female smirked, as she watched his reaction to 'Tigerkit', raising an eyebrow, "Old enough . . . but not mature enough clearly. You're still a Tigerkit by ways of the clans, dear brother." She taunted, with a smirk, before glaring at him, "I may not be in charge of you, but I can make you leave." She responded, mirroring his stance, before smirking at his words, "Because I don't want my warrior name yet. There's still too much fun, too much I can do as an apprentice . . . I'm more than ready to be a warrior. but who wants that responsibility just yet." She stated, letting his words roll of her back. She had no desire to be deputy, and she'd wait until the time was right to be a warrior. Instead she allowed her eyes to narrow, her expression to show she was done chatting, and this time she leapt forward, claws unsheathing, "Time for talk is done. Leave."

As his sister leaped at him, the tabby tom rolled towards the bank of the pond and lept into the water. Ha! I bet she wasn't expecting that! The icy water swished around him and played with his fur. Bubbles flew up around him as he paddled strongly towards the other bank. He shivered as the water stuck to his fur and clumped it up and... He shuddered. but now it was time to run. He shook out his fur and bounded through the forest then up an oak tree. I posses all the skills. I can swim, climb, fight and hunt. I am invincible! He padded steadily along a branch, searching the forest floor for Lilypaw. Come out wherever you are...

The feline paused as her brother suddenly rolled into the pond, leaping into water. She paused, staring and looking around in desperation to find the tom she wanted to rip into. She snarled angrily as she stalked the edge of the water, "WHERE ARE YOU, TIGER!" She growled loudly, ears slinking back angrily. She stalked the pond bank before pausing at his waterlogged scent and she growled again, immediately spinning to chase it, "Come out, come out where ever you are - Tiger, come out to play, brother."
