For The Good of the Clan(Open to Midnightclan)

Adderclaw headed out of the entrance of the camp and headed towards the Stormclan boundary. His pelt prickled with excitement as he kept up a fast pace. He could hear Shadowstep easily keeping up.

Shadowstep kept his mouth open, breathing in the scents of the clan territory.

[Midnight]

Shadowpaw followed her mentor, her brother running ahead.


An annoyed tom headed for the river. He was about to jump in to swim across and get through MidnightClan territory to LeafClan when he saw MidnightClan cats in the distance. The ginger tabby snorted and sat down, waiting in arrogance.

[kiba]

Shadowstep immediately picked up a scent. His fur bristled and he noticed Adderclaw had smelt the other cat too. Both of them skidded to a stop in front of the tom.

"What are you doing here?" Adderclaw snarled, fur bristling.

[Midnight]

Shadowpaw glared coldly at the tom across the river, her tail starting to lash.

"What?" Burningclaw asked, licking a paw. "What am I doing here? I dunno, looking at the river on my own side of the territory?" He glanced up at the MidnightClan cats, "this is StormClan territory... What gives MidnightClan cats the right to challenge a StormClan cat who is on his own territory? Did StarClan give ownership of all Clans' territories to MidnightClan?"

[kiba]

Adderclaw hissed. He bared his teeth. "I meant what are you doing by the river? You look suspicious," he snarled, tail lashing.

Shadowstep looked at him with narrowed blue eyes. "We are tired of Stormclan cats. You all have already killed one cat of our clan," he growled.

[Midnight]

"You look suspicious, too, but I'm not questioning you considering you're on your own territory, am I?" Burningclaw retorted. Ah, the art of annoying other cats.. It's one that I haven't enjoyed for a long time. He purred in amusement and looked up at Shadowstep as he spoke, "That fight wasn't my fought. MidnightClan cats are too dumb to see who's prey is who's." He held back a smirk, knowing all too well that he was probably beginning to really annoy the MidnightClan cats.

"Just shut up already!" Shadowpaw spat at Burningclaw, approaching the river. "If you had any intelligence at all, you'd know very well that you can't best us when it'd be a patrol versus a single cat. Unless you StormClan cats are pulling more of your mouse-brained tricks and there's more of you, you're pretty stupid to be talking like you are."

Burningclaw was fairly surprised at the apprentice's strong, intelligent words, but he hid it. He flicked his tail, "This isn't a matter for apprentices- keep your nose out of warriors' conversations, why don't you?"

"How dare you?" Shadowpaw calmly asked. "What right do you, a cat from another Clan, have to tell me what conversations I can and can't be in?" She looked at Shadowstep and Adderclaw. If they say I can't, then I'll be respectful and keep my mouth shut. I doubt my Clanmates would not allow me to be in this conversation, though, as we are checking our borders and this tom is giving us a hard time...

[kiba]

Shadowstep looked at his apprentice. "Shadowpaw, don't say such things. Even if they are true. If something happens than the rest of us can deal with it," he mewed, touching his tail to the apprentice's shoulder. Suddenly he looked back towards Stormclan territory just in time to see a few more cats coming down the bank. He growled as he recognized them.

Ahswhisper and Blackfeather bounded up to Burningclaw's side.

Blackfeather's eyes were filled with Rage. "Causing trouble again, Adderpaw and Shadowstep?" he asked.

Ashwhisper and Adderclaw's eyes met for a split second and then they nodded towards one another.

"I'm Adderclaw now, thank you. I just received my warrior name," he mewed, before turning. He looked at his patrol. "Come one, lets continue the border patrol. We don't need this," he mewed.

[Midnight]

Shadowpaw dipped her head, but she growled at Burningclaw as he purred at her getting in trouble. She nodded to Adderclaw and followed.

"You really think we're going to let you get away like that?" Burningclaw called, "you challenged me even though I'm clearly on my own territory.."

[kiba]

Adderclaw flicked his tail at Burningclaw showing that he heard the Stormclan tom, but really didn't give a fox-tail about it. He looked at Shadowpaw. He was going to say something smart to the Stormclan cats too, but she had beat him to it.

Shadowstep looked at the Stormclan warriors. "Whats the point of fighting over something like that? We don't need any more blood shed and you know why," he mewed. He was clearly talking about the rouge clan that was lead by MN.

[Midnight]

Burningclaw shrugged, "So? There are plenty of things the Clans don't need but have." The tom snickered, glaring amusingly and cruelly at the MidnightClan cats.

Shadowpaw snorted and kept her eyes forward as she walked, trying her best to ignore the urge to teach the ginger tom a lesson.

[kiba]

Shadowstep's tail lashed. "Cats like you are going to die from rash actions. Does Stormclan have nothing better to do than pick fights with other clans? Unless you all have no respect for the warrior code and would rather watch your queens and kits die," he stated simply before turning and padding after his patrol.

Blackfeather's fur bushed out until he looked twice his side. He snarled at Shadowstep. "How dare you insult us like that," he growled.

Ashwhisper looked at the two toms next to her. "Burningclaw, Blackfeather, come on. I'm sure Ravenstar wont be happy if we come back after all this time without any prey," she mewed, her eyes filled with interest.

[Midnight]

"Oh yeah?" Burningclaw ran to keep pace with the MidnightClan warriors, "How do you know? You think I'd let the queens and kits die? Your warriors are so dumb and weak that they couldn't cross the river without drowning because they can't swim and their paws would give in!" He shouted, claws sinking into the ground. "MOUSE-DUNG!!" The tom yowled at the MidnightClan cats, eyes showing only rage and hatred.

Shadowpaw looked at Burningclaw and spat before continuing on after her Clanmates.

Shadowstep flicked his tail towards Burningclaw once more, dismissing the comment. He smirked and looked at Shadowpaw. "Burningclaw and Blackfeather are always looking to pick fights. Just be careful around them," he mewed to her.

Blackfeather's tail lashed. "Midnightclan cats think they know everything. We should tell Ravenstar about this," he snarled.

[Midnight]

Shadowpaw nodded, "Yeah... Not hard to tell."

Burningclaw flicked his tail in agreement with Blackfeather. "It's not smart to talk about cats like that in front of them- especially when you don't really know them! FOX-HEARTS!!" He turned and started to storm back to camp. The senior warrior looked back at Blackfeather and Ashwhisper, "Let's go."
