Ripplepelt's Death Vigil and Burial (All!)

(This topic is for all cats in MidnightClan. It'd be nice if you posted, especially considering most of the time all of the cats in a Clan are in the clearing for at least a few minutes to say goodbye to a dead Clanmate.)

"Midnightstar!" Cherryleaf called through a mouthful of fur. The leader looked over from sitting in front of her den and her red eyes widened in shock and sadness.

"Ripplepelt.." The leader meowed. She took the body of her old deputy from Cherryleaf and set it in the clearing. "MidnightClan!" Midnightstar yowled at the top of her voice, "Today we have lost a very valuable member to our Clan. Ripplepelt was found dead in the territory just a bit ago..." She looked at Cherryleaf, who nodded. Midnightstar turned back to the others, "I would like Darkclaw, Frostfur, Shadowstep, and Gustleap to bury her outside the camp at dawn so her Clanmates may take the night to share tongues with her for the last time."

Darkclaw dipped her head. She sighed at the thought of having to bury a Clanmate. It's the duty of the elders and I may be the only one, so she had to choose some other trustworthy cats, it appears. The elder padded over to Ripplepelt's body, being a bit slow as the deep slash in her flank from the fox attack was still slowing her down. She crouched with a slow let-out of breath and licked Ripplepelt's pelt a few times, "You were a great deputy and Clanmate." She whispered. I remember when you were just little Ripplekit..

ocean stared blankly at his "Friends" body. He blinked his blue eyes and felt warm tears coming to them. He blinked them away- he was happy that nobody seemed to know the secret about him and ripple. They had two kits...Two perfect little kits- Leafkit and Marshkit. Well he wouldnt exactly call Marshkit perfect- he couldnt see out of his right eye, and he couldnt hear anything. Well atleast they were alive.

Terror, Lightingpaw, and Thunderpaw padded up towards the old deputy's body and pressed their noses to her fur. They muttered a few words and backed away.

Shadowstep bowed his head to Midnightstar and then padded over. "You will be missed deeply. Starclan will welcome you with honor," he mewed, pressing his nose to the she-cat's shoulder. He could feel her body going cold.

[Lotus]

Lotusmoon padded wearily into the camp clearing. Ripplepelt had once saved her life from a rouge,
MissingNo. She pressed her pale pink nose against the cold deputy's body. Lotusmoon did not pull away. "You saved my life, but I could not save yours. I'm sorry Ripplepelt, rest in StarClan." She whispered to the lifeless Ripplepelt.
