New Kid On the Block {Golden}

((Even though they're a rogue group, they do live in twolegplace, so I figured this was the best place to post.))

A petite calico she-cat stepped after a much, much larger tom on delicate paws. Her pelt was unmarred by any scars, unlike the cats around her, and her ears were flattened to her head. The silver and white tom at her side paused to shoot her a reassuring grin, and she returned it shakily.

Devon padded towards a pile of boxes, most overturned. "Ranger? You in there?" he called, poking his head in curiously.

Ranger looked up from one of the boxes and peeked his head over the cardboard with his torn ears pricked. “Huh? Yeah, I’m here.” The large black and ginger tom said with a blink. His red and green gaze shifted to the she-cat beside Devon blankly, as he wondered why she was with him. He didn’t think he had seen her before, though there were a lot of cats around he might have forgotten about. He really did have trouble remembering all of the new ones.

"Great!" Devon mewed enthusiastically as he gave the shaky she-cat a shove towards the bigger tom. "I need you to keep an eye on Foxy here. She's new. Show her around, be nice," he mewed with a wave of his tail. The she-cat seemed like she needed someone to look after her, and he knew Ranger would if he asked.

“Hmm, alright,” Ranger nodded in agreement after glancing at the she-cat once more. He turned to crouch down and then scrambled to jump out over the tall sides of the box, rustling the cardboard slightly as he did so. Once he had cleared it he shook his shaggy scarred pelt and padded over to her. “Well, follow me then," he meowed to the she-cat as he padded slowly past her.

Foxy shied away as the tom burshed past her, golden eyes wide. She wasted no time skittering after him, however, nearly padding on his paws. After all, she'd much rather be around a cat that she could possibly trust than random cats that didn't even know her. "W-where are we going...?" she questioned quietly.
