Grassfall walked out of camp her mind on Wolfsong who she had loved since before she was made a warrior and she had always gotten annoyed at her siblings for teasing her about her crush for the tom. She hadn't come out her to hunt, but when she spotted the mouse she couldn't pass up the chance to catch. Lowering herself into a crouch she began to stalk towards the mouse making sure not to make any noise. Suddenly a branch snapped from behind her scaring the mouse away, "Mouse dung," she grumbled sitting up. "Who's there?" she called out annoyed that she had missed her chance at catching the mouse.

[Foxpaw]

Wolfsong padded along, his thick coat fluffed up against the cold, big paws easily cracking twigs here and there. he wasn't really paying attention to where he was going to be honest. Things had been hard since he'd lost his mate, Willowstar, and he'd been trying his best to get over her. It seemed to be working, but every now and then, she creeped into his thoughts. He gave himself a shake, as if to clear his mind, ruffling his off white coat as he did so. At the familiar voice, his ears pricked. He stepped more clearly into view, pelt burning in embarrassment. "Ah, Grassfall, I'm sorry... I didn't realize anyone was out here," he mewed, a sheepish expression on his face.

[Sand]

"That's okay, I was just taking a walk and was focused on catching a mouse," Grassfall meowed her ears growing hot. When he had scared away the mouse he had also caught her off guard which was pretty rare. When her and her litter mates had been kits that had always been annoyed when they realized that they could sneak up on her. She was always aware of her surroundings, but today she was distracted. "How have you been?" she asked him her green eyes narrowed against the glare of the sun.

[Foxpaw]

Wolfsong nodded, sittin neatly with his fluffy tail wrapped around his paws. "I've been pretty good. How about you?" he asked good-naturedly, licking his paw. Grassfall was a good distraction, he had to admit.

[Sand]

"It's been pretty well," Grassfall meowed sitting down curling her tail over her paws blinking her green eyes. Unlike her siblings and her father she had a long tail while they barely had a tail but they were all born that way. Of course their parents were dead reach had made them closer than most siblings.

Ooc: have you read the plot?

[Foxpaw]

((Yeah, I have.))

He glanced off in the way the mouse had scuttled, a frown on his face. He still felt bad about it, to be honest. The clan needed food. Badly. "Wanna go hunting with me? Maybe we could make up for that mouse I ran off," he mewed, frowning. He wasn't a good hunter, but he could try.

[Sand]

"Okay," Grassfall meowed standing up tasting the air for prey trying to see if she could scent any prey. She was okay at hunting, but she was a better fighter then she was a fighter, and one reason for that was that she sucked at tracking prey. She preferred trying to see if she could spot it rather then trying to scent it out.

[Foxpaw]

Wolfsong followed the she-cat's leap, pausing to scent the air himself. He, himself, excelled in fighting, but he was also a pretty good tracker. He was just too bulky to hunt well. He flicked his tail at her gently to stop her before sliding off. After a moment, there was a loud snap of noise, and then he sent a rabbit running-hopefully-into her paws.

[Sand]

Grassfall followed his gaze just as he sent the rabbit running towards her and she was barely able to catch. One reason that she wasn't a good hunter was because she became awkward when she was fitting and would trip over her tail or paw, but while she was fighting she never got awkward.

[Foxpaw]

"Nice catch!" Wolfsong called, running over to where the she-cat stood, paws pounding on the ground. He didn't really notice anything wrong with her hunting technique, not really looking for anything off about her. Still, his blue eyes were bright and happy over the fact that they were somehow able to make a catch. "Looks like we're a pretty good team,huh?"

[Sand]

"Thank you," Grassfall meowed shuffling her paws in embarrassment she still thought she could've done a better job at catching it. "If it wasn't so close to Leafbare there would probably be more prey," she meowed.

[Foxpaw]

"Yeah, we better take whatever we can get," Wolfsong mewed, pawing distractedly at an orange leaf under his paws. His pelt was fluffed up against the cold, and he knew it would be pretty bad for them. The ocean always seemed to bring cold winds.

[Sand]

"Yeah, at least we can stock up before leafbare," Grassfall meowed tilting her head to the side. "I'm better at fighting then I am at hunting," she meowed flickinhg her ears.

[Foxpaw]

"Yeah, me too..." Wolfsong mewed, ducking his head slgihtly. His whiskers twitched in amusement. "Between the two of us, we'll probably scare of all the prey from here to the border."

[Sand]

Grassfall couldn't help but laugh in agreement and smiled. "Our clan might think we did it on purpose," she meowed jokingly.
