Sprinkles laid out flat on her side, grooming herself in the sun. She had only been in midnight clan for a couple of sunrises but she was already getting used to blocking out the scornful things the other cats were saying. She had to admit though, she was starting to feel a little lonely. If only someone would come up to her, maybe see what she was like, they would like her. Being in clan life was nothing like being a kittypet. Everyday was something new and exciting. She was learning how to hunt and fight. As a kittypet she would watch out her window on her little bed and daydream about catching mice. Then she would get up and trot over to her food bowl filled with crunchy, foul smelling food the twolegs like to give her. She never thought once she would be living the clan life but she never thought that she would be loosing her Samantha either. Sprinkles sat up and gently swiped a paw over her ear, secretly she was watching the other cats out of the corner of her eye. They sat a ways away, sitting close together, chatting then would turn their backs when they noticed her looking. They treated her like a fox impersonating a cat. Twitching her whiskers she shrugged them off then padded her way over to the fresh kill pile. "Ahh a nice fat mouse" Sprinkles swiped her tongue over her nose, going in for a large grey mouse. "Thats mine!" A large tom hissed then nosed his way in grabbing the mouse from under her jaw then padded off to share it with his mate. Sprinkles let out a hiss but grabbed a vole instead, clan mates where not allowed to fight each other, so she wouldn't be the one to start it. Besides she would be flattened by his mere size.

Curling up once again by herself she tucked her paws neatly under her chest as she began eating at her vole in small neat bites. "Just ignore them Sprinkles" she said to herself.

Jade was sharing a squirrel with her sister, Kestrelfeather. She was still sad about her sister, Rowanhearts, death and wished that her sister was still alive. Jade and her sister had been born as Loners but they had joined when they were apprentice aged and they were half-clan. Their father had been born into Midnightclan so that made her hsalf-clan. Letting out a sigh she and her sister abandoned their half-eaten squirrel and walked over to Sprinkles. "Hey," Jade meowed cheerfully glancing at her sister waiting her sister to say something.

"Names Kestrelfeather and this is my sister Jade," Kestrelfeather meowed glancing at her sister. "I'm sorry, I just don't feel like talking right now," she meowed her voice catching and she disappeared into the warriors den.

Jade side wishing that she could do something to cheer up her sister. Since she had met Crookedpaw she had been happier and he had helped her to get past her sisters death, but Kestrelfeather didn't have anyone like that in her life. She missed the old Kestrelfeather, the one that would give her a hard time.

A brown tabby she-kit saw Sprinkles lying by the fresh kill pile and she sank down near the ground into a crouch. Her tail stuck up and her blue-green eyes narrowed as she shifted her paws and acted as if she were about to stalk prey. “Attack the kittypet!” Briarkit squeaked as she bounced over and leapt at the she-cat’s tail with her tiny kit claws unsheathed. She attempted to swat at it with her front paws.

Featherkit had been watching Briarkit and followed closely behind her with her silver tail waving. She tried to pounce on the end of the she-cat’s tail after watching Briarkit leap towards it.

Sprinkles sat up and blinked her orange eyes at the two approaching she cats. "Names Kestrelfeather and this is my sister Jade"
Sprinkles felt her tail tip curl and wave with happiness. "I'm Sprinkles" she ducked her head shyly but thought better of it and stuck her chin up proudly. Jade had turned and sulked away muttering about not feeling up to a conversation. Disappointment flood over Sprinkles, she felt bad and hoped it was not her that was causing the she cats discomfort. Sprinkles opened her mouth to speak when she felt a thud land on her tail then another. Sprinkles jumped and spun, startled she saw to kits pouncing proudly around. Sprinkles purred then settled back down swinging her tail back and forth teasingly in front of the tiny kits.
