A Time To Fight {MidnightClan and StormClan}

Ravenstar's paws crunched in the snow as he stalked forward, ears flattened to his head, green eyes narrowed. Behind him walked a whole swarm of warriors, fur bristling, eyes dark and stormy. He stopped in front of the fallen tree, glaring at it for a moment. This was the cause of all their problems. He didn't enjoy fighting, but sometimes you had to fight to bring peace. His patrols had scented MidnightClan warriors crossing the fallen oak and hunting in StormClan territory. The previous day they had caught three arrogant toms and one of his own apprentices had ended up injured. It was an insult that couldn't be ignored. The new MidnightClan leader would have to learn to keep her warriors in check the hard way. With a slight growl, he leaped onto the trunk and crossed into the other clan's territory, his warriors streaming behind him, tails held high.

[Sand]

Jade and Kestrelfeather were talking about their dead sister when they scented Stormclan. "Stormclan what do they want?" Jade meowed annoyed and took off towards camp leaving her sister to distract Stormclan.

Kestrelfeather watched her sister run off and stalked forwards. Stopping where the Stormclan patrol would come to wait for them. Since her sisters death she was never in the mood to fight.

Wolfbreeze followed her leader into Midnightclan territory her sightless gaze trained straight ahead. Even though she was blind she was a really good fighter.

News of StormClan had reached camp, in the form of a young terrified apprentice who'd relayed that StormClan was more then ready to fight and that the amount of cats, though he didn't know exactly how many, were definitely here for a battle. So, feeling sick to her stomach, Flamestar gathered up what she hoped were enough warriors and headed out into the territory. It was her first battle as a leader, of course. That was bad enough. but, what was worse, was that it was her only battle against another cat outside of training. She's fought foxes and done pretty dang good but never another cat, much less been in a battle against another clan. Flamestar, if MidnightClan survives your leadership, you will have been the luckiest cat in the history of the clans. She thought bitterly.

[Sand]

Kestrelfeather turned when she heard more midnightclan cats coming and she relaxed wondering if her sister had been the one to warn Flamestar. Narrowing her eyes she backed up her tail lashing back and forth.

Jade having seen tnat an apprentice had been her to the task had slipped through the trees until she was behind the Stormclan patrol.

Wolfbreeze scenting Midnightclan unshealthed her claws and bared her fangs in a smile.

[Midnight]

He couldn't handle it any longer. How could he? No cat's blood had been spilled yet, the rip of fur under claw hadn't been felt by any of these cats in moons probably. He may not have been leader, but Pineshadow was surely bold, and so he let out a deep-voiced screech, one that belonged to him and him only, "ATTACK!" The StormClan tom bolted forward, past Ravenstar.

Yeah, he'd have to face the consequences later, but for now, the large brown tabby tom headed for the first MidnightClanner he saw, a black-furred she-cat, who looked about fourteen or so moons, and lashed out at her, claws unsheathed. This she-cat seemed somehow as if she were important.. He'd seen her at gatherings, and somehow, a name came to mind: Flamepaw.. no, Flameshadow? Yes, Flameshadow. This was Flameshadow, but what did that matter in the heat of battle?


"You're all as good as dead!" Sunblaze yowled, charging toward Wolfbreeze, who he didn't know whatsoever.


Prepared for battle, sister by sister, Crescentheart and Nightgaze weaved swiftly and silently through their territory's undergrowth. Both had covered themselves in mud to mask their scents. Both hid in bushes, crouched, waiting for some cat to come by. They were facing each other, tensely looking around.

I don't want to be here. I don't want to fight. Crescentheart thought anxiously. She could only hope that her kits would be okay.

(So, I'm assuming this is in the territory, then? XD)

[Sand]

Wolfbreeze Sunblazes yowl and his paws pounding towards her and dropped into a crouch her sightless gaze coming to rest right on him and she lunged right at him.

Kestrelfeather and Jade traded a quick glance and raced towards Ravenstar hoping that they would be able to catch him off guard.

[Splash]

For a split second, Flamestar was taken aback by the sight of a warrior dashing past the leader to start the battle. At least I didn't start this fight. She thought, recovering fast enough to duck and lunge at the tom's back legs. Flamestar was small but not a single cat could deny the fact that she was fast. Fast, agile, smart. That made the she-cat as good a fighter as any big, brutish warrior. Something clicked the second the fight started, and the world slowed as adrenaline kicked in and her mind focused on the battle, blotting out all of her problems.
