Setting: Mid-afternoon, Clear skies
OOC: Sorry it took so long!
It was a quiet day in leaf-fall, in the supposedly barren lands of TalonClan where crevices and crags took shapes and forms of different sizes. The outcrops were cooler than usual, but they were now the best spots to warm up when the cold drafts blasted through the narrow spaces that tended to poke out from the mountain's surface. Such was the life of a cat living in the mountain of TalonClan, but the open air and scenic views would never be traded for anything else.
Thistlehawk jumped onto the next ledge with little effort, also not caring for taking the easiest way up the hill which happened to be a convenient slope not too far off from his position. but climbing was so much faster, and it gave him that rush of adrenaline that he got from running around the mountain sides! Besides...which TalonClan member didn't like to climb? The rocks and ledges were glorious exercises to keep everyone in shape! Whatever trees that were hardy enough to grow here were excellent for climbing practice too, though he'd have liked it if he had an apprentice to show for it.
but right now, the blue-grey tom was eyeing the wide gap that stood between him and the shortest path to the Abandoned Lookout. The place was a shabby wooden den built long ago by Twolegs who abandoned it before his Clan made their homes in this rocky landform, and there was a safer path leading up to it; most cats went up that way, for whatever reason he hadn't bothered to fathom. but Thistlehawk wasn't most cats right now - he wanted to make that crazy jump. It was reasonable for a distance, but still mouse-brained to those who had worrywart sense.
"This is going to be fun,"Â he mewed, approaching the edge and scanning the mild hilly tumble below.
